Anone else sick of this manga? It's getting bring since Sora died and that Akane went from her worst enemy to her bff in like 2 chapters... Now they're trying to put Najika with some new guy and Daichi is being neglected. There just isn't a plot for it anymore. I can't say I like it much anymore, what about you guys?

My post will contain some spoilers, possibly. I don't think you've finished the manga, so just be wary.
Hehe, excuse me for snickering, but I just couldn't help but notice your statement, "There just isn't a plot for it anymore." But I think there wasn't any plot long before Sora's death. Think about it, the central plot for Kitchen Princess is Najika finding her Flan Prince while pursuing her dream of becoming a pastry chef. Other than that, the only conflicts I saw were countless cooking shows that obviously, Najika all won (except for the most important one in volume 10), bitchy schoolgirls picking on her (which is not only cliche, but ended early on when Akane became her friend) and a lame "villain" in the form of the Director, Sora and Daichi's dad (WTF? An adult figure picking on a student? That's a new low). When Sora died, I didn't cry. It just made the manga more boring and predictable. With Sora out of the way, who else would Najika end up with but Daichi? And Sora's look-alike, Seiya, couldn't throw me off. I don't think a guy who shows up halfway in the manga will end up with the protagonist, especially with a manga as cliche as Kitchen Princess. It would follow the unoriginal route, of course. But even with all my negativity, I bought all ten volumes. Why? Well, I have this weird case of OC. I bought the volumes when the series was still ongoing, not knowing how everything would progress. I had no choice but to buy everything till the end, otherwise I would feel...hm, how do I say this...? Incomplete, just like my KP collection. Also, the recipes will come in handy in the future. What's weird is, this series is still in my favorites. I love Daichi, Seiya and Akane. The storyline was interesting, what with all the cooking, but maybe, just maybe, if another mangaka handled it instead of Kobayashi-sensei, it could have been original and fresh.

Literally. Like everyone else is saying.
READ THE WHOLE FRIGGIN' MANGA. Not in a bad way. And I agree with everyone else, it IS one of the best endings I have ever read in my life. Literally. It was so sweet. Najika finding her flan prince. Not saying who, though. Just read the manga, (and I'm judging that Sora was your favorite character, right?), and bear through no Sora. Trust me, it gets awesomer. Too bad it's ended. I had been in depression for like, I don't know...a lot of days. ![]()
