wait i have to get this straight!! r they cats or dogs?
i know they are cats, but some of them look like a dog so....
am i missing something here??

What I think about this is - they're neither! They're humans after all, so there is no way they'd really have cat or dog ears/tails

That is why their ears and tails can look like those of different animals ;] (can't imagine any character from the manga with a peacock tail, though... xD) For me they're all clearly cat-like, who was it that reminded you of a dog?

P.S. Soubi's tailwas the cutest of all! ^^

I think theres a mixture of anthropomorphic additions to the virgin characters. Some of the ears and tails may very well be from dog-people and cat-people.

Actually, neko (猫) means cat.

I think they're supposed to be kemonomimi (獣耳), or people with feline-like attributes like an ears or a tail. However, I've seen some characters like Yuiko and Midori who look like they've got canine tails. All in all, they're human, the ears just remain a cute symbol of innocence and a physical marking to childhood (which is what most people consider virginity).

I've noticed that while they have neko (cat) like ears, most usually have inu (dog) like tails. Ritsuka seems like the only exception, and I haven't seen Seimei's tail so i dont know his. The only other person in the series who has cat like ears and tail was a girl who only breifly appeared ONCE at Seven Voices Academy.

Lol and I agree with yukilove21 those are the best Shonen

And Sasuke Naruto RULES! XD

Didn't someone in the manga mention that they have cat ears and dog tails? Either way... Wouldn't it be weird if your kid just comes home without ears and a tail? It's a total invasion of privacy ._____.ll
