Chobits is the first manga I read (when I discovered the universe of manga and immediately decided to sart reading them!) and I really really loved it.
It's just beautiful: I would say it's really close to a modern-type Cinderella story with lots of humour but reflection, too (on love, humanity, others). Hideki changes so much throughout the story that he's hardly recognizable at the end (especially in his relationship to Tchii and his philosophy on love!) Definitely something to read! The anime is really good, too (I love Sumomo' s morning gym!)
