If you could kill any one character....
As I've been reading through the many posts discussing Bleach, there have been many comments about how this character or that character should die. And this had gotten me thinking about who lives, or who dies. If I could choose, If it was up to me, Who would I choose to live and who would die. Of course, I would have to justify my choice. I would have to give reasons why and explain how this death would affect the story, benefit the storyline. So, let us pretend that we are meeting with Tite Kubo. He has asked to meet with us to get our feedback on Bleach. One of the things he wants to know is....... If we could kill any one character, Who would it be? And Why? Except he wants us to answer four simple questions concerning this death. 1. Who? 2. Why? Why do you want this character dead? The reason could be simply, I hate them, I hate them, I hate them. 3. How are you going to Kill them? 4. How does this death advanced the story? How we answer these questions will determine whether or not they live or die. So, in your response to this post I want you to answer these four questions. If you cannot answer them or will not answer them. Each one of them. Then please, do not offer up this character or that character for death. I for one, would like to see some thought put behind this choice and explanation. I'll go first. 1. Who? Tatsuki Arisawa. 2. Why? Actually I like this character a lot. It's just I don't like where this character has gone. She has, in many ways, become an afterthought. It use to be Tatsuki and Orihime, one of the great friendships of Bleach. It was the strength of this friendship that awakened Orihime's latent spiritual powers when Tatsuki was being attacked by a Hollow. Now, Orihime has to think, to remember, that she is friends with Tatsuki. Then there is how Ichigo treated her the last time they talked. She came to him, as a friend, seeking help, wanting the truth and he treated her like dirt. Sure, this was supposedly for her own good, but it was hurtful and thoughtless. So, I am of two thoughts concerning Tatsuki, one being she should have her own powers awakened or two, she should die, be killed off. So I say, Kill Her Off. 3. How am I going to kill her? In a very mundane manner. I do not want her to be killed by some supernatural entity. Or by some supernatural means. I want her death to be the result of everyday life. Something that could happen to any of us. Traffic accident, house fire, mugging, eaten by a shark, perhaps even in an earthquake. I would time her death to take place shortly after Ichigo and the others returned from Hueco Mundo. Giving them a brief opportunity, several days to a week to reconnect with her. Again, I am of two thoughts as to how to kill her. 1. Tatsuki dying in an accident. She's crossing the bridge when a car hits a patch of black ice, spins out of control, slamming into her and throwing her into the river below, where she drowns. Her body is swept downstream and not discovered and identified for several days. 2. She dies heroically while saving the lives of others. She is out for a walk late one evening, clearing her thoughts, when she comes upon a burning house and hears people trapped inside. She rushes inside and helps carry the people out. Unfortunately she becomes trapped by the flames and is killed when the building collapses. The only person who is aware that she was even there is too injured to tell anyone that she is there. It is only when they start clearing the wreckage, several days later, that they find her body. In both cases, you will notice that it is several days before anyone learns about her death. One of the reasons for this is I don't want a last-minute save. I do not want Ichigo summoning Orihime or bringing Tatsuki's body to her and having Orihime's powers performing a last-second, miraculous save, restoring Tatsuki to life. By the time her body is discovered, some Soul Reaper (Isshin maybe?) has come along and performed Konso and sent Tatsuki's spirit to the Soul Society. So, even if Orihime's powers can restore Tatsuki's body, they cannot bring her spirit back, restoring her to life. Of course another reason for the delay would be because I want to emphasize how distant Ichigo and Orihime have become in their relationships with Tatsuki. How, she can disappear, be missing for days before they even notice she's gone. 4. How does this death advanced the story? One of the ways, Tatsuki's death can advance the story is simply: Once she is in the Soul Society, Tatsuki may enter the Soul Reaper Academy, eventually becoming a Soul Reaper herself. Tatsuki clearly has the potential to become a Soul Reaper, but cannot do so while still living. Also, since she dies as a human and her Soul goes to the Soul Society, it leaves the possibility for her to return to the story at some point in time. Her death can be used as a means to advance Orihime's relationship with Ichigo. The two of them can become closer in many ways while comforting each other, as they mourn Tatsuki's death. Force Ichigo and the others to reevaluate their relationships, with their families, with their friends and classmates and with each other. Part of this process would be Ichigo finishing his conversation with Karin, about him being a Soul Reaper. And perhaps, the realization that keeping his friends in the dark concerning what is going on around them, isn't necessarily keeping them safe. Perhaps her death will help Ichigo to grow up, at least a little bit. This is one of the reasons why I would have her death be the result of a mundane, everyday cause. It would leave Ichigo without a reason to become stronger, without an enemy to overcome, without a wrong to right. He would have to come to terms with the loss of someone he is known most of his life, a friend. He would have to do so with no one or nothing to blame, except maybe fate. This would be an excellent opportunity for him to grow up some and change his attitude a little. What do you think?

i think Orihime should get killed 'cause she sucks and stall to much of the fights. her powers are mostly useless except for the reject time thing that hachien can also do. she takes up too much of the show time that should be supposingly interesting. also all her love crap about ichigo is sickening. i'd say she should be killed by a powerful hallow after a few days back from Hueco Mundo because ichigo or some other soul reaper wasn't in time. ha ha. all i have to say is that she really really suck.

Ichigo killed by Aizen.
Everytime i see him i lose the little faith i have in the manga coarse this just might be cause i hate the "I dont wanna kill even bad guys" attitude that 80% of these action mangas carry. |

Who? Hitsugaya Toushirou
Why? So that more interesting characters would rank higher in the character polls and to rescue Momo from being shipped with him. And because he is an annoying little turd. How? He could have and honorable death, fighting Aizen. Momo would be really sad because he is like family to him. Her tearful last words to him would be: "Even though we weren't really related, to me you were a real brother and always will be," setting things straight once and for all for anyone who still doesn't get it. Then she would totally kick some ass. She wouldn't kill Aizen, that honor would go to Ichigo or Shinji, but maybe she cuts off his arm or something. My HitsuHina hate really knows no bounds. I try to write about other aspects and not just be a one-note piano, but damn does it feel good to let the vitriol flow.

People, Please..... Answer the questions
1. WHO? 2. WHY? 3. HOW DO THEY DIE? 4. HOW DOES THIS DEATH ADVANCE THE STORY? (THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT OF THE QUESTIONS!!!!) Yes, you can say Ichigo. But be prepared to explain how killing off the main protagonist advances the story without ending it.

Well if you do kill off Ichigo you could do it while he is in his human body so that his soul will still be intact. Then they would have a couple of options of where to go form there.
1: go to soul society and proceed to create a storyline based almost entirely in soul society and and the different heirarchys in that and different areas of that world. 2: Since he has hollow powers he gets sent to Hueco Mundo. You then have the option to make the storyline even darker as he fights to survive possible darker and more dangerous areas of Hueco Mundo that they could create/introduce. 3: Because he has both Hollow and Shinigami powers his soul can be sent to somewhere completely different than soul society and Hueco Mundo. A place where Vaizards go when they die. You can then have all of soul society and his friends trying to find a way to get to this new world to possibly save his soul or help him through whatever trials the writers decide to throw at him in the new dimension/realm. So killing Ichigo in that sense wouldn't end the series, just open up possibilities for next story arc. Now if your going to KILL him kill him then yeah that would be very hard to continue with cause they've already devoted so much to his character and i dont see to many ways to keep it going unless they pull a Buffy and bring him back from the dead somehow but then you didn't truly kill him off... |

I. WHO?
Chad/Yasutora Sado. II. WHY? I like him alot. I like how he's actually developing even though he isn't a main character. But I want him dead of of pure curiousity xD He's got powers, even as a human. His right and left arm. I wanna know what will become of them after he dies and goes to Seireitei. Especially if he was to choose to become a Shinigami, too. I know a sword doesn't fit with his attitude, but if I were him, I'd go for it. After all, it might have an uber Shikai that could boost his fighting ability and his arms' strength. III. HOW WOULD I HAVE HIM DIE? Right... Either an everyday way. [Maybe he tries surfing and gets pwned that way. Or killed in fight - he was always getting into them xD] Or he dies fighting a spiritual being. [Like that Ex-Espada. Or a very powerful hollow that wronged him in some way.] IV. HOW WOULD IT ADVANCE THE STORY? Hoho. Well, if he was to die in his current condition - a human. He wouldn't have left much behind, would he..? All his friends are in on this whole Seireitei deal, so him becoming a spirit wouldn't be a huge deal. But anyway... I'd just like a bunch of story developement on him defending the kids and adults of the slums of Seireitei from bullies and extortionists. And him constantly being offered to become a Shinigami because of his arms and the power of justice he dispays when defending people - He knows the right people to defend. And him not wanting to become one cus of the people he protects and he thinks he'll be some sort of lab rat for the Twelvth Division. But they tell him they won't let the Division near him and the people want him to become a Shinigami, too. So he does and promises he'll come back an visit when his training is over. And before this. And the gang, all go back to the real world and have a funeral on the beach for him or something O_o. Even some Shinigami that he's made friends with before his death slip into Gigai and attend too, maybe. Anyway, I don't even know why I chose Chad to talk about. i don't pay much attention to him - but if all that I've said was to happen, maybe I would xD
