Smile About Fai's furisode...

Who thinks that putting Fai in that is CLAMP's way of showing Fai and Kuro have something more then friends and that Tomoyo is a yaoi fangirl? Also who realized it was a furisode without being told? I didn't their clothes all looked the same to me...so the long sleeves make it that? (Looks at clothing ...fails)

Clamp is definataly hinting at SOMETHING, with that. AND yeah Tomoyo is definately a fangirl (figured that out with her 'with all your heart' line).

I didn't know it was a furisode at first, but I knew it was somekind of woman's style kimono.

Except that it wasn't so much a woman's costume before the Meiji period, children and teens of both genders wore them. But for an adult male to dress as a boy could really only imply that he was taking on the role of a Wakashuu (submissive male lover to a samurai; traditionally a teenager, hence the furisode, but in practice the age didn't matter so much). Wakashuu were _not_ expected to take on a feminine role.

Well, it's not an outrageous assumption or anything. CLAMP has a long, broad history of characters who fall in love with other characters of the same gender, (many of whom have had cameos and/or major supportive roles in TRC) and one of the common threads of all of CLAMP's series is the belief that love knows no boundries, gender being the least of them.

Kurogane and Fay's relationship has reflected the style of development that CLAMP is fond of when writing same-sex romance.Their interaction is so heavily layered and subtextual, much of it can be missed the first read through, as only the character exposition later on in the series allows one to fully appreciate the subtleties and foreshadowing within their early conversations with each other. Not to mention, they were literally designed for each other, given specifically detailed pasts, personalities, and goals, powers, curses, strengths. flaws, and physical appearences, all tailor made to compliment/contrast/intersect one another.

Chapter 167.

And Horitsuba Gakuen is a series of drama CDs and short manga omakes that include the characters of both Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles and xxxHolic in a high school setting. Syaoran, Sakura, Watanuki, Doumeki & Himawari are the students, and Kurogane & Fai are the teachers. Yuuko is the principal

[Seishirou was also mentioned as the school nurse ]

"Hori" for Holic and "tsuba" for Tsubasa.

Well it is not only between Kurorin and Fay, you can see it also between Yukito and Touya from CCS, or Kamui, but anyway, I won't say that they're gay though, because as you might know, there are different kinds of manga, like, Yuri, which is love stories between girls (Like Tomoyo being in love with Sakura, CCS), and Yaoi, which is love between guys. ^^)
