I'm curious as to what exactly did her father do to her? She has all the butterflies painted on her but surely that would wash off with water. And did he like cut her body and sewn things different or something? Sorry, I know it's not meant to be realistic but I was pondering...

Yeah I think what he did might have been like a tattoo. Cause it lasts forever and there was blood n' stuff. It sure made her expensive though!

yeah, i was confused at first, when it wasn't said what did it mean of her to be a living painting. but it is 'just' a tattoo... altough she did suffer quite much from it... and her father... on a little child.... ugh

all it is is a full body tatoo of butterflies. but back then tatoos weren't as popular, so i'm guessing that's why everyone was so intruiged by it.

ahhh thanks a lot!

I was kind of confused because her body almost looks like there are creases around her joints like a doll or something. And she says she's nothing more than a doll with no emotions, but I guess that's just her thinking because of how she has been treated in the past
