Default Could she really have become a vampire? And have been able to paint Micheal?

I had the oppurtunity to sit down and read this story in one sitting. And I have to say it was very good. I have also read many ideas for what the real outcome of the story was. And I have read many good ones. From what I read throughout the story this is my opinion.

First I have a question I would like to ask. If Micheal can only paint pictures of the dead or dying because he is a vampire and all the souls of those he'd painted are set free, and if Jae did become a vampire how is it she could paint Micheal? Wouldn't that mean his soul would be set free too? It would seem to be the same for her since she was artist as well.

Also I beleive Ken stayed for two reasons, one he loves both Micheal and Jae and two, he made a promise with Jae that they would leave together therefor he had to stay. Also at the end he hugged her and said he would wait for her, then told her to go to Micheal.

In way I would like to believe that Jae became a vampire in the end and the two get to live forever together, but I have this feeling she didn't. Ken only mentioned 'She risked her life to save him.' So that would mean that yes Micheal didn't perish under the sun, but that also seems to mean that Jae gave Micheal enough blood to save his life but not to turn her. The reason I say this is because if you recall when we see Micheal in her bed and we witness the first time he is exposed to sunlight, he tells her that if the sun had been warmer then she wouldn't have been sleeping there peacefully. I do suppose in a way that could mean she would have to drain her blood in order to save his life.

Also the reason she seems to finally feel welcome is becuase for the longest time she just felt like she was there to toyed with. But now that she is invited into his heart and his home she can finally say that she actually feels welcome.
