Wink Unexpected genre change... then reversion?

Okay, so I once made a post which questioned one of the genres listed in the manga (shoujo-ai)since I didn't think it should have been considered as such because Touma and Misaka seem to be the love interests here. So, I checked back on the site a few days later and saw that the "shoujo-ai" genre had been removed. Now, about two weeks later, I check back again and, along with chapter 18 (the epilogue thing), the shoujo-ai genre is back! So, wait, is it only marked shoujo ai because of the girl obsessed with her onee-sama? Isn't she just a side character? Who does the genre change? Can anyone do it? I don't get it!!!!

Well, I just wanted to get that out of my system.... but since I'm a shoujo-ai fan, I'm not really complaining :3

Well I get what you're saying, but at the same time the shoujo-ai genre tag can be justified - that is, if Mangafox were to keep to a certain standard regarding its tag usage.

Okay let me elaborate a little better - there are a lot of mangas with the 'Gender Bender' tag but in some of these mangas, only the side characters can be classified as being under the 'Gender Bender' tag (Happiness! is one... I've read a few others but I can't name any more than that off the top of my head).

So yea... it's a little weird seeing as it is tagged as shoujo-ai despite not being centered around it and I guess it does have some negative implication and disadvantage to it (seeing as how I myself cross out the shoujo-ai tag whenever I use the search) but like I said earlier, it's just Mangafox upholding the standard.

i am not a fan of shoujo ai myself, and when the "shoujo-ai" genre pop-up... i have my doubts 'cos as far as the latest update, there's not a hint of it (excluding that obsessed teleporter girl).

i'll continue reading this one, but that genre will affect the rank (either it goes up or down).

There is no shoujo-ai, the novels Misaka is crazy about Touma as well and since this manga will get an anime, if there will be shoujo-ai they would most likely have to cancel it due to low popularity and the anime as well. I doubt any fans would want to see shoujo-ai.
