hey guys
so i was wondering when haru lost to pumpkin doryu the first time and he was badly injured. he told ruby the name of the third rave master right? So would they tell us in the story about who it was???
I just want to see other people opinion about this because it seems kinda left out of the plot.

No. They would not tell us in the rest of the story who the 3rd rave master would had been if Haru had died. It seemed like it was just left out of the rest of the story because Haru didn't die in the fight with Doryu. I have no clue who would have been the 3rd rave master. But, it would have been weird to see someone like Musica, Let, or Elie as the 3rd rave master. It still would be interesting to see other people's opinion on who the 3rd rave master would have been if Haru had actually died against Doryu.

Seems to me that the author had something in mind before it got pushed aside, therefore a plothole(?) is created. Probably because he couldn't kill Haru, or the Fans/Editor keep bugging him.

I don't think of it as a plothole...because I'm sure Haru was never meant to die
That would have been the most stupid thing to do O.o letting the main chara die XD
But I think it's just that...story-wise it was needed...because Haru thought he might die
I don't think Haru really thought he'd come back at that time
That's why he told Ruby about it

But Mashima knew that Haru wouldn't die from the start
or so I think
It just wasn't needed to say it out loud...who'd be the 3rd Rave Master
Because he wasn't needed in the story

just a wild guess but what if the third rave master was lucia like if haru dies then the rivarly between the families goes away so there is one less hatred for lucia. still i dont understand why haru knew the third rave master when it took shiba 50 years to find the seconed.

Mashima probably only put the information about the 3rd in to add to the dramaticness of the situation Haru was in; Haru was facing someone he was very unsure if he could beat, so he told Ruby the name of the 3rd in case he died. Dramatic =O

And I'm assuming that Haru never revisits this topic again is because after he beat Doryu, Haru's relationship with Elie and everyone deepened, so he did that cliche thing guys in shounen manga do: he decided he can't die for the sake of his friends and Elie. Thus, he never told anyone else the name of the 3rd during the rest of his fights where he would probably have died.
