According to voice actor Suwabe Junichi’s blog, a second season of the anime series 「Kuroshitsuji」 is in the works. The announcement was originally made at the 「Sono Shitsuji, Shuushou ~Saigo no Bansan wo Anata to Tomo ni~」 event held on the 14th.

SEASON 2, EVERYONE! *runs in circles*

What will we have this time? Theories/speculations are welcome.

Wait how are they going to make a second season when Ciel is already dead? Don't get me wrong i would love to see a second season I'm just wondering.

That would be so awesome!!! But at the same time I wonder if it will be the real ending, if yes that mean that the manga is comming to an end. I doubt that make two fake ending.... Anyway I can't wait!

The audience never actually seen Ciel dead body. You just see Sebastian leaning over him in the last scene. It's up to the viewer to interpret as to what happened to him.

I thought the same thing as moontide20 when I heard about season 2. It is true that we don't see Ciel die but idk it seems out of character for Sebastian if he was suddenly like 'Wait I can't do it!' I always wondered if there was a second season what it would be about and theorized that maybe Sebastian would get a new master??? Which would suck because I love Ciel!!! Still a second season would be amazing!!! I can't wait! Anyone know when it's supposed to come out??

I honestly feel the same as you guys. The anime ending was too..final. If this really wasn't the end, then the story might probably follow the manga- and maybe the real end. I don't know, it just feels..off. Then again, it could be a spin-off series or something.
If I'm not mistaken, the new season will be coming out this winter.

yeeeeeeeeeey!!!!!! 2nd season!!!! cannot wait!!! but it will sucks if ciel isn't in it... i love his character.. but always believed that he is somehow alive.. it will be cool if he become a demon or something, awwww

i knew it they couldnt let it ends like that ,and befor 2 days i was rewatching kuroshitsuji and in ep 24 when ash was talking to sebby he said something like ( i will be the existence that my father deeply loved) dosent that mean there is another evil who gave the order to ash to destroy or clean watever . so seabastian didnt complet ciel wish yet iam not sure or maybe sebastian just keep ciel a live because he love him

or maybe as you said there could be another master nooooooo idont want it like that

My theories:
1. It will show the life in hell of Ciel and Seb.
2. It's an OVA because: 黒執事『その執事、終章　～最後の晩餐を貴方と共に～/Sono Shitsuji, Shūshō ~Saigo no Bansan o Anata to Tomo ni~
That means: 'That butler of black black butler, end chapter ~ last dinner with you ~
3. It's not in the serie because it probably will be shounen-ai and will scare homophobes(Kukukukukuku~!)
4. It will show how Ciel is eaten/raped/kissed/spared and taken home by Sebastian

When will it come out?
