Is it only me that wants the blue hair Arata to be the main character. He is so much more interesting character then the other guy. i honestly skipped few chapter to where the blue hair Arata story in the school life began. I also want him the get the girl from the fantasy world, they seemed much more suitable to each other. The other guy, you can't help but feel pity for him. throughout the series i was like "when the hell will they switch, this is stupid!" The story itself is really great but the character development the main character feels annoying. Plus the romance part gives me pity for the blue hair Arata and that girl. Well to be honest the brown hair Arata is not such bad character but i think the blue Hair Arata gave a very good first impression that still reside in me. Anyway seeing how the series is going, they won't switch places until the very last chapter, and since it's a shounen manga, the brown hair arata will get the girl somehow, all of which i am not to fond to look forward to, so i decided to stop reading it until the manga is complete. Please share your thoughts. Tell me if you agree or not, or if i am being too harsh? Please vote on the pole.

I think I like mr. bloo hair =D (yes i mispelled that on purpose ^^) I totally get more fangirl moments with him than I do with brown one o.o And I agree that mr. brown one is a tad low in self esteem o.o but I thin if he turns out to be a kick butt guy I may start to like hm more ;p but yeah right now bloo is my favorite >.<

I'm pretty sure that the rest of you will kill me for this but . . . I prefer Arata Hinohara more. At least so far. If the story focus on the two Aratas were a little more balanced, I might be more inclined to favor Arata Hime.

Yeah. Arata Hinohara at times is annoyingly wangsty simply because Kadowaki is a jerk (just muscles away of being a jerk jock, but will probably just turn out to be this) and because . . . well, kids are cruel. All this preps him up so he can build up his legacy as The Chosen One.

Huh? Of course my constant linking to TV Tropes in the paragraph above doesn't imply anything about my thoughts on Hinohara's backstory. Oh no, no. Nothing at all.

But anyway, at least that is somewhat interesting enough to move a long the main plot, and I'd much prefer to watch his development.

Arata Hime, on the other had, is a likable character. However, he suffers from one fatal flaw that would disinterest me from following him. He is your typical shonen protagonist. Yes, the series is shonen, but imo, he's extremely cookie-cutter with what we've seen of him so far. A few steps shy of being an Idiot Hero, Arata Hime is naive to the lifestyle of his new surroundings, just almost to a fault, kind with hardly any reservations, most likely chaste. Oh, and I'm sure given the right situation, he'd have the drive of the role as well.

Like I said, likable character, but not interesting enough to follow given how very little we know about his personality, especially when he's currently in a situation where he's capable of handling all of Hinohara's bully problems by himself and taking his whole "I'm in another world" business in stride without encountering too much problems. Give him a real conflict first before I really start getting interested in him. Otherwise, leave him as the tension tranquilizer.

You're not the only one, I like brown haired Arata better too - well no, I just like his story better. It's interesting and all with the blued hair Arata and how he deals with his situation but I just love the fantasy world Watase Yuu created, and I want to know what happens next. It's addicting~ With the blued haired Arata, it's kinda obvious, considering his carefree personality and all.

That would be wishful thinking for most of the girls in this board. =P

The hayagami chooses the user, right? It already chose Hinohara. And even if it could change its master, then that would imply that Arata Hinohara has something that Arata Hime does not. And...that's really hard to believe, since the latter is more emotionally stable/mature. XD

I actually like Hinohara (brown-haired Arata) better. He's the more interesting of the two, to me, and has...more potential, I guess? Do you get what I'm saying? It's just my opinion, though.
