The Anime :]
The anime is soooo good. and there is a new season starting this year!
so if you like the manga or if you need something to watch... WATCH THIS ANIME XD and its usually called spice and wolf or wolf and spice. |

I think only the Anime is called Spice and Wolf, as I know the manga only as Wolf and Spice.
But the order isn΄t that importand if the words stay the same I guess... Its certainly the best manga/anime I΄ve seen for quite some time and I hope that the original novels will be officially translated as well. Animal girls are quite common in manga/anime, but usually I dislike them. But Horo is just cool, can΄t find any reason to dislike her, she really has the characteristics you would assume in an old wolf-human. Last edited by nroejb; 06-08-2009 at 04:29 PM. |

I love Spice and Wolf~ I was so sad at the way it ended. D: If there really is a second season, I cant wait till it comes out! >W< |

So far, I was only able to find the first season and the OVA, but I guess somwhere there is more accurate information about the release of season 2.

The second season of Spice and Wolf starts on July 8th. AnimeNewsNetwork.com
Other good news, Funimation has picked up the distribution rights for the first season. The manga and novel is also going to be published later this year by Yen Press. It's about time. Can't wait to own all 3. |

Amazing no other word for it
To be honest, on the whole I am not really a fan of Anime 's(though I do look at them from time to time) generally preferring the written word any day of the year.
Simply put , in the space of a hour you can get much further along in the story line than any animie ,plus mangas generally tend to hold nothing back which isn't the case on the screen. This anmie however proved the exception , because its one of the rare exception that actually put the manga to shame.With its masterful intelligent storytelling , gorgeous voice quality , beautiful artwork and just plain heart warming and touching storyline , its a for sure winner. yep even I reached for the tissue box at times. |

I will happily agree with that, to the point where i actually preffer the manga because for somereason it really gets to me, horo looks more like a fox than a wolf in the anime because of her fur colour, in the manga it is black and white so that cant be misunderstood
