..I thought everyone knew that. Yeah she summons genbu then goes back to her own world. and her father cant bear seeing her suffer. so he stabs her to death. The whole story in is Fushigi Yuugi: MP. Bu I don't think it will really happen. I think Yuu Watase will do some crazy thing and bring lll the mikos together and change history so Takiko doesnt die or at least doesn't die that way. b/c It would totally suck if she really gave the ending after in the first series. anyway those are my thoughts.

I just don't know if Yuu will really make any twist since in Fire of Suzaku's Wings, they already revealed that she was killed... :/ And I saw on a website that among those 4 priestess, only Miaka had happy ending with one of the seishi which is she loves so much...

D: Waa, Poor Takiko and Suzuno... :/

Btw, why is everyone calling the Fire of Suzaku's Wings as Mysterious Play? I mean, yes it's MP but it can't be Mysterious Play: Mysterious Play? XD It should be Mysterious Play: The Fire of Suzaku's Wings then Mysterious Play: The Legend of Genbu. Just asking... :/

Here is my take on this.

Sadly as much as I adore Takiko, I do believe Yuu Watase will hold true to her original intentions and she will die.
However, at the time of the original Fushigi Yuugi I do not think Watase had any intention of doing the Genbu saga so some details that were referenced in the original may change a bit.
For some reason I don't see her father stabbing her to death, just seems a bit too brutal for me, especially with his type of character. Not to say he won't do something to ease her pain and suffering, but I think if he does in fact kill her it will be much more somber.
Also please keep in mind in the original story everything regarding the Genbu Priestess was mostly hearsay from what they were able to look up from an old newspaper, we don't know what actually happened, or what will happen.

With that said, there are a few small details that stuck out a bit in the manga when I read it. As someone mentioned before on another forum Genbu is the god of Life and Death such is represented by the tortoise and snake. In volume three when Naname is introduced Hatsui makes mention of the the canyon they are in stating " There is a myth that when you go through the rift it means you are reborn. It is the path for the death who are buried in this field."
Then later Uruki says to Takiko "So this is the rift of reincarnation...if a living person passes through here, I wonder if they can be reborn too."

Now I know nothing is determined, or if that bit of information was placed there just for randomness, but for some reason I can't forget it when thinking about what is/may happen. I just have a feeling it is going to play an important role at the end of the series tying into the fact Genbu is the god of life and death.

Only speculation for now, cannot wait for the new chapters!

Oh yes, I almost forgot abt what they have just said in that volume... :3 I hope they will be reincarnate...
I still like it if it's "Takiko" and "Uruki/Rimudo" and not their reincarnations...
But well, it's fine with me as long as they will be together... <333

Thank you for reminding about that chapter, Marionette!!!
I reeeeeeeeeeeeally hope Yuu will do something related to it... :3

I also believe that Takiko will die at the end, I think Yuu Watase will hold true to her original intentions and she gonna die. No offense to the people that Takiko will not die at the end becuase if you read the genre of FYGK it includes a tragedy genre and if theres a tragedy genre it means that the hero/heroine in the story will end up in a tragic end. Sigh....

ye they think her father murdered her but in fushigi yuugi they discover that she came to the real world already dead and when the police found them near a lake he was carrying her dead body, and they blamed him for her death.
