I think there were too many climaxes. when i finished the first tournament i was pissed when i found out there was something elts that they had to do. then they had to stabilize the deamon world isn't that a bit much and too long?

Yeah, I noticed a sudden slow-down right towards the end. After the tournament, most of the rest seemed a bit random with different short stories on the various characters who'd appeared earlier.
But I'm happy with it. It was way more interesting than I expected and the continual switching of villains actually helped as far as I'm concerned, because it put across the point that there wasn't just one bad guy and then everything goes back to normal. It was more like one bad guy - but wait, he was being controlled by another bad guy, and as soon as they deal with him, another one pops up. And even when it's quiet, there could be more bad guys waiting around to pop up later. Overall, a happy ending though. Despite the slow-down, it rounded everything off quite well. So I liked it. I would recommend it. The only other one remotely similar that got me this involved was Devil and Devil.

Mangas currently followed: too numerous to fit in the signature! Suffice it to say I'm reading 7 of the top 14 at present and the 8th is on my shortlist once it's got some more episodes up. Genres vary: In general - supernatural, fantasy, shounen, sports, and some miscellaneous others. I prefer to read a series as it's coming to a close or already finished and read it, if possible, in one go. That way I don't forget details. Although one-shots are fun for passing the time.

life has many climaxe, i think that that maybe what Togashi was trying to get at. well, that and i think that he got a little bored with the series during the end, which is why it kinda' withered away; he wanted to move on but had to wrapp up the series first.
or, at least, thats what i think. Last edited by 0.operson; 10-04-2009 at 05:41 PM. |
