Is 170 (or even 172) so tall for a girl? Maybe it's not as common in asia that girls are tall.... i'm european and i'm 172 cm but there are alot of girls taller than me... I'm somewhere in the middle. For example one of my friends (a girl) is 182 cm... (yeah, that's tall for a girl... but not 170.. -.- )

But I do think 156 cm is a bit low for a boy..

Ya cuz Asians aren't usually that tall where i live thats the normal hieght for a 17/18 year old girl and about the time they should stop growing

In Japan they are all squirts, cuz they live on such small land. So its tall there, but I'm much taller than her, and in the States most of the guys are all looming over me. Maybe she should just come live with me?? (yayayayayyayayayayay!!! :3)

I'm asian and I'm 170cms tall and still in the middle
though my families pretty short so it is tall for asians
156 is DEFINITELY short for guys!

I guess it depends where you come from. I'm 165 and I'm like the shortest girl in my year, but that's England. Girls tend to be smaller in Japan I think.

from where I stand, 1.70 is tall! XD

but there are 5 girls in my class shorter than me.
for a boy, the 1.50's are short tho. but I also had a male friend that was 1.55m at age 16...

I guess people really do come in every size!

for me, she's not really that tall. we have roughly the same height and same age. of course, she's japanese and most japanese girls are short.

maybe otani's just the deficient one. haha.

he really IS short for a boy his age. still cute, though.

Wow... I've always known I was short, but man!!! Compared to all of you I'm pretty much a midget!!! I'm only 5' 1" (roughly 155 cm) AND I'm already 20!!! Yes, I'm full Japanese (if that was what you were wondering). But the funny thing is, my height is pretty much the average for girls (where I come from, that is). I live in Hawaii and there are a lot of asian people here (Japanese, filipino) so that would probably explain it.

But still... 155 cm... That's kinda sad isn't it...
