12 friggin years OLD!!!
WHOA WHOA!!... i'm a guy and i do have a thing w/ older women ( i have no problem dating them) but isn't he a bit too young to DRINK ALCOHOL and SLEEP NAKED w/ a stunningly beautiful and voluptuous woman whose strength adds more to her charm...i know this is set in the ancient world but err...
anyways what i'm trying to say is... I REALLY ENVY THAT KID DAMMIT!!

Hahahaha! That made me laugh. I haven't read this manga yet, but if this is extreme, try comparing it with Yoru Made Matenai...

What is a shotacon? It is, my friends a relationship between two people, either yaoi or straight. It is a relationship with one person and a young boy, much too young for the age of the said person. Some people would regard this relationship as 'sick'.  I'M PROUD TO BE FAN OF THIS RELATIONSHIP!! I just gotta love those little boys.

I have never come across such detailed artwork ever before in a manga. I don't usually like mangas that are shotocan/lolicon but this manga is an exception. Maybe because it was set in era where things like child marriage actually happened and was qute normal unlike the things that most mangas which are based in the present where stupid grown up men/women like underage kids. Those are pedos nasty little buggers. So I usually steeer clear of shotocan/lolicon tags. But relationship between Amira and Karluk isn't like that because of the reality of that day and age where if youbdidn't get married at a very young age people started whispering about you being impotent or having some other problem. All in all I love the slow paced unique storyline as well as the fabulous artwork. I just can't wait for the next chapter. I hope they don't take Amira away just when she was really falling in love with Karluk and vice versa. Oh does anyone know if this a monthly, bi-weekly or weekly manga?

actually, i kinda pity him because of his age. i mean he doesn't even know how to react in front of a naked woman... hahaha, innocent yet a little mature for his age...

My favorite part of Mangas, is how they tell a story through the eyes of the author. 12 sounds young in current times. but that is actually on par with with many traditional cultures. For instance the barmistva (ms) the 13th birthday for a Hebrew, is traditionally their "becoming a man" ceremony. Followed by a wedding a kids soon after.
additionally the "sweet 16" and the Hispanic 15th birthday for women was considered their coming out celebration. announcing they were available for marriage. That kid in that culture would have known what to do and had already got it done |

Why was Amira unmarried at 20 though?
I mean she is an obivously smart, beautiful woman with great crafting skills too boot. So why was she not married at 20 yet?
It seems she was married "overt he mountains" because of her age, but still the question will hopefully be covered later. Maybe she was too independent, considering her three brothers?

Poor young boy ! how can his body grow normally if every night in his childhood is like this ?
With that being said, i still expect a truly great man that he will become after several years (hope this manga will last till his adolescence, judging from his mature purity and calmness. He will make a good leader, that s just my deduction until now.

Their personalities really fit each other despite the fact that he's eight years younger. I feel bad for the kid though because it's obvious he feels distress over his age. But, once he matures a little they'll be so right for each other =)
