Haha, but I think it would make this story a less unique one and a more stereotypical shounen-ai story. But, this is coming from someone who is not a fan of the genre.

I mean, this is only my opinion, but girls that are naive or simple-minded in love just makes the story boring. ._. It may make the story interesting in another way by making the main guy character do something (retarded, hilarious, etc.) but it'd eventually get boring. Just my opinion.

Even though it would be a change, I like it this way. I'm a fan of Shounen-ai too, but I just don't see it working out for this kind of manga. Sure the characters fit the roles, yet it just wouldn't feel right. Besides, the only reason I picked this manga up was because it is how it is. If it was another Shounen-ai I might have skipped over it (I went on a Shounen-ai binge for a week, need a change of pace now).
As fans though, we have our imaginations, fanfiction, fanart, and bunch of other things to fulfill our wants.
