Default Why on earth did you start Captain Tsubasa?

I'm not going to lie. When I has 5 or so I saw the original Captain Tsubasa anime, and despite having some pretty crappy animation and music my five-year-old self thought it was the sweetest thing in the world. I still remember a lot of plot even after not seeing it for over a decade, like Misaki's departure and Aoi Shingo's hawk shoot. I spontaneously decided to take a trip down memory lane to see if Captain Tsubasa still existed now, and viola, here I am! It's seriously a sports classic. I love it!

...so, what about you?

I myself watched an Anime continuation (Tsubasa starting playing in Spain) and wanted just to know what happens next.

It was called Captain Majid in the Middle East... and was a revolutionary success everywhere.

This was so famous among the young kids to the extent that the Japanese humanitarian aide workers posted pictures of Captain Tsubasa on their vans to show neutrality during the Iraq war.

Captain tsubasa is a legend in our country. Every kid watches it, even though he hasn't got a clue about anime or manga. So... it brings up memories... XD
