Here is my summary of chapter 30, from what I can tell from looking at the pictures and from my limited knowledge of Japanese. No, I can't upload the pictures, sorry. Please don't ask

And please don't request for further summaries. If I decide to do them/have time to do them, they'll be here, if not, they won't be. Requesting for won't affect it either way. Sorry I wasn't able to translate more of the actual text like last time, but I'm in such a rush this weekend with homework, so this was the best I could do.

Click "spoiler" to see my summary of Chapter 30 of "Hana to Akuma" (Kat's is much better than mine, but I didn't find out about her's until later, otherwise I wouldn't have wasted by time breaking out the dictionary (sigh). Kat does an amazing job!

Hana to Akuma
Chapter 30

Hana is still talking to Ranko-chan in the garden. Ranko-chan evilly lifts her hand up and places it on Hana’s face, and Hana falls backwards (she was previously sitting down).

Scene switches to Momo and his friend who are searching for Hana. They encounter Felton and then Toni, but no one has seen Hana.

Bibi is still sipping tea when Ranko-chan comes up to talk to him. All of a sudden, a swift exchange happens. Bibi grabs his staff, and Ranko-chan lifts up her skirt so you can see a scabbard with a short knife attached to her thigh. It is a stalemate, with Bibi’s staff pushed up against Ranko’s neck and Ranko’s knife up against Bibi’s throat.

Bibi whispers in her face, “What business do you have here, Morittsu? (note: for spellings sake, I’m going to shorten it to “Moritsu”).

Suddenly, Ranko-chan is no-more, and in her place stands an adult-male wearing a cape and regal-like clothing (to me, it seems like he is dressed like a prince in a fairy tale or something--like the prince from Disney's Snow White).

They put their weapons up, and don’t really seem like they will go and fight. Bibi is ticked off by Moritsu’s appearance, however. Felton calmly comes up to talk to Moritsu, and Toni hides nervously behind Felton. It seems Moritsu likes to cross dress and take on the appearance of a little girl…

A male servant comes running up to them announcing that they found Hana-chan unconscious.

Hana is brought to her room, and Bibi, Felton, and Moritsu gather around. Hana opens her eyes and begins to reach out towards Bibi. He smiles. But then Hana reaches past him and hugs a surprised Moritsu, who hugs Hana back. Bibi, Felton, and Toni are somewhat surprised, and Bibi is a little angry. Bibi reaches over to take Hana back, but she flicks his hand away, and angrily tells him not to touch her. (When Moritsu had touched her face as Ranko, he obviously put a spell on her.)

Hana tells Bibi that she is no longer his business because her number one person right now is Moritsu. Bibi is shocked and Toni and Felton are horrified.

The next day at school, Bibi, Felton, and Moritsu are all teachers now. Moritsu is up at the front lecturing, and Momo shoots a look at Hana. Hana is gazing dreamily up at Moritsu, and blushing. Momo and his friend whisper about Hana. Hana kicks their desk (very gangstery like) and yells at them. She has a gangster-like attitude. Momo and his friend are shocked and disturbed by Hana’s behavior and attitude. Momo goes to talk to Felton and Bibi about the problem to try to get help. Everyone is worried. Bibi leaves the room, and Felton and Momo go off to talk. Felton can tell Momo really likes Hana because Momo blushes when he talks about how worried he is about her.

In the hallway, Bibi meets Hana who is holding on to Moritsu’s arm. Bibi takes out a gem on a chain and begins to wildly swing it in front of Hana to dehypnotize her. She gets angry and kicks Bibi in the stomach. He crumbles to the floor, clutching his stomach. Hana tells him off, as she reaches up to kiss Moritsu on the cheek.

A dark angry aura builds up around Bibi (with a comical Momo and Felton horrified in the background by this aura). Hana glares angrily down at Bibi who is still sitting on the floor in the school’s hallway. And the chapter ends. Next chapter is out in Japan on May 20th.

My commentary:
To be honest, I was somewhat disappointed with this chapter. To think that Ranko-chan was just some guy in disguise and not a real rival seemed like a wasted plotline. Also, since Hana is under a spell, it doesn't seem like much progress will happen between her and Bibi, at least on her part. And although it seems we will get to see a jealous Bibi, its not as if Hana really likes Chiritsu, which if she did, would be more interesting and much more cause for jealously. It just seems like a typical plotline to me. Hana probably won't remember anything when its over, and thus this whole episode probably won't count towards further her and Bibi's relationship. Sigh. I hope this arc doesn't last too long.

This is a "shocking" new development. haha. It's interesting how

Hana gets a whole new personality and totally rejects Vivi.

I'm glad I read this spoiler because there were so many crazy theories spewing up in the Hana to Akuma community that I didn't know which one I would rather believe.
