I thought it would be important to leave a note that I got a pretty nasty Trojan from Mars Volume 15, around page 40 to be exact. Anyway, a weird continuous pop-up starts and eventually freeze my computer. I tired going there again, thinking there was some kind of fluke, and at around the same page -- that particular pop-up shows again, only more aggressively this time.

Right after I have to restart my computer a second time, I run a virus scan and found over 300 infections that were not there earlier. Not cool!

I hope someone can eventually run a scan on this volume and fix the virus, 'cause I would really like to finish the story. *sad face*

*shrugs* But whatever.

While I never read Mars, I have had several instances where Trojans appear detected from Mangafox. I believe the entire site is riddled with them.

Omg me too. I was like "Uhhh....but I have no alerts from my Avast! virus thing..." It got annoying. I finished the vilume but was interuppted like 3 or 4 times. It got reeeeeeally annoying. I also think this site has a lot of trojans or w/e. I just hope the conficker worm isn't on here..

It's Kinda Weird...

It didn't happen to me while reading this manga but,

Some Manga I read, it suddenly froze and then some kinda Pop up comes up

The one saying something like, "Protect your Computer from the virus with Virus2009!"

Since I thought it was weird I just turned off my computer...

Mangafox sometimes have problems and they give pop ups or some weird advertisement that covers the page while reading

I've never had problems with viruses on mangafox... it depends on which and what kind of anti-virus programme you're using.
Make sure you turn on Windows Firewall along with your anti-virus firewall, (I'm using McAfee, really good, they test the website and warn you before you enter so its really cool) then I think the pop ups and all the blockers will do their stuff. The Trojans shouldn't be able to attack or automatically penetrate your system, because the firewalls will block or prevent it from downloading into your system, but they'll warn you about it. At least thats what happens to me so I'm fine.

Hmmmm,
i never had a popup on mangafox
so maybe its your internet brower
i use Firefox,its free to download
or it could be the anti-virus program
you have...

I agree with the browser thing. It depends on which computer i'm on. My laptop doesn't really get anything from mangafox, but when i'm on our older computer, i get a ton of them

Well, the site basically IS riddled with trojans, since it has TONS of ads running just to run the site. Maybe we should donate more so that we won't get too many trojans anymore (I totally SWEAR that I practically had one before, but it seems to have disappeared)?

I've had several problems from MangaFox. The entire site is filled with all different types of virus's. I always get sound ads, or the one's that say "are you sure you want to leave this page" when I click to go to the next page. This is why I prefer onemanga so much more- but it's true that mangafox has a wider selection.

BTW I use firefox and use AVG anti-virus, free version for protection.
