What really happened at the end?
I'm not baffled about the ending, I know for sure that Jae and Michael are together in the end and Ken was not able to leave the mansion but yet, I'm still very unsettled.
The reason?Well, Jae and Michael are shown together in the end but, Michael is also shown to be smiling and turning his back to the us. As if he is walking away. This scene was right after the artist shows us Michael kissing Jae. I was thinking, because Ken said that Jae risked her life to save him but here he does not say that Jae gave her life away in order to save Michael so I doubt she died. All of these things have accumulated in my head; making me very unsure about how I should settle the ending as. Anyone care to shed some light on me?

Maybe she gave him an unknown amount of blood and bearly survived herself?
I actually have no idea, but in my mind something like this happend |

saving him is just a metaphor since no blood was spilled, or drank in this particular case
 it actually means that she saved him for turning into a soulless being. he accepted jae's finitude, his own destiny as an immortal and chose to live in the present. I think

For me, Jae saved Michael by giving him love and a purpose to live. She risked her life because he could have drank all of her blood if he hadn't accept her love. I think, even though it will be painfull when Jae dies, Michael still chose to spend this short amount of time with the one he loves and the only meaningfull thing in his "life". Jae is trying to understand fully who Michael is so that when time comes, she will be able to draw his true essence. I think at that time, the two of them would either live together for eternity ( Jae would choose to become a vampire) or they will both die (I think it'll probably be like that because of the matter of the sun; Michael said that it wasn't time yet to die burnt by the sun...). Well it's just my opinion though. In any case, it IS a happy ending. Michael for the first time shows a true smile and seems to be going to a new life with happiness and in the end, the mansion that once kept people away from entering because of its lifeless atmosphere says now "welcome". Well, what do you think?

There are also some idea's on this in another thread (http://forums.mangafox.com/showthread.php?t=22244) so I won't say any more here. But I think the picture at the end with them holding each other and the angel was the finished picture that Jae ended up drawing.

so did they die or not? even though i read all of the chapters.. i'm still a little confused.. i mean in the forums i keep seeing people writing they died or they lived in eternal happiness cuz she got turned into a vampire. anyways i'm confused and a little dizzy since it's past the time i usually go to bed.. wait actually i go to bed in two hours at 3 o'clock
