No. even if they did want to make her happy it was still sad that they did a mind wipe of the vampire and family memers.

I wouldn't have wanted to have my memory erased if I was Karin....... I like my memories, thnks very much...... boo.
Hate the ending..... they just HAD to psoil it all in the very last chapter...... damn.

For a good manga, I recommend Liar Game, described by some as the Manga which suceeds Death Note. It's jam packed with clever twists and maneuvers, and makes for an excellent read. That's right. Who can tell that if they don't wipe her memories she won't be happy?

If they didnt erase her memory, Things wont work out. If karin vist her parents then Kenta's mum would ask Karin about her parents. if karin bring her kid over to the vampire's side of the family for a visit , Kanon would ask ' why is great grand mother so young?' also their house is no home for a kid. No lights... Sad still she lose her family like that.

Its not whether or not she deserved it, its just that she wouldnt have been able to be truely happy unless they did it.
She even said it herself, that she would stay with them. But since they lead such opposite lives, it would never really work out. They didnt have much of a choice.
