Whats so pure about a shoujo manga?
I think more than 50% of shoujo manga here are labeled smut... and for me smut arent so "pure".................................... why did i post it here? cause the asuka says shoujo manga has a pure love... hahaha!
P.S. Im a guy by the way and Im reading Shoujo manga's!!!!!! whats wrong about it? I know shoujo manga's are intended for giirls but the hell there are a lot of boys reading shoujo manga and watching shoujo animes! I mean they were labeled shoujo in their manga versions! like Special A, Itazura na kiss, Yamato nadeshiko, Ouran, Skip beat is shoujo too... oh and i said this cause its emphasized in this manga that real boys dont read shoujo mangas... something like this |

Although that is true, it meant the other 50%. The other 50% is love and mushy stuff without anything bad/smut and is pure, as they call it in the manga.

Shoujo mangas is for everyone, and I think its great that there are boys who are interested. Shoujo mangas do have pervy scenes, even in the ones that aren't smut. But I'm starting to like Azusa and wanna see things goes........

the kind of shoujo manga they r talking about is mush gushy stuff like true love and soul mate beautiful marriage and other things like tht but i agree wit u tht a lot of shoujo is kind of...uh...u know...*whisper* smutty

For the sheer randomness of it, try searching for Akusaga (Blank Slate), if you haven't already. It's by the same mangaka, but with a totally different feel I was kind of surprised it was Shoujo Beat who released the English translations...
 And I guess that's what they want to say in Otomen, right? No to stereotyping? |
