1. Kojirou the boy acts as dumb as Kojirou the dog, and looks twice as dumb. It was okay for a dog, but as a human, he looks sorta brain dead.

2. Nobody should love someone because they look like their dog...

3. Kissing your dog is just freaky.

And how long has she known Kojirou the boy before he makes out with her in her sleep? I know this is a one shot, but come on! Most one shots start some time into their relationship, after they meet. Why does she expect him to be like a human version of her dog anyway? Dude.

Also, weirdest confession scene ever.

Haha, have to agree with you there. Then that means I'm a weirdo. I mean, I not only kiss my dog, but my bunnies as well. It's not like your making out or something, just showing affection. It was a very odd confession.

I've known people who act that happy-go-lucky. Some of them knew it seemed goofy but their position was, basically, they enjoyed being happy. I find it hard to argue.

Looked like and had the personality of.
I've seen worse reasons, both in manga and real life. Half the manga out there, the girl falls for the guy basically because he's hot-looking and acts cool in some way. She knows her dog really well, after all. She knows she loves his personality. He's friendly and nice. So why not go for a guy who's like that?

We don't know. Minimum a few days, clearly less than a full school year. My guess would be in the couple weeks range. So? Just how long did it take you to fall for people when you were in high school?

Expect, nothing. He practically is a human version of her dog. He has the same expressions, the same attitude, the same attention span, similar taste in food, the same name. Every time she went into "must hug" mode it was because he showed yet another aspect of himself that was just like her dog. She wasn't imagining it; he was really like her dog.
Meeting someone just like your dog is really unlikely, true. But probably no more unlikely than all the dozens of guys in mangas who are the best in Japan at everything. Really, they'll have to get all those manga heroes together to duke it out sometime, figure out which one really is the best.
And by the way, no, most one-shots take relationships from first meeting to getting together, just like this one does. Some don't, but mostly the "childhood friend" ones.

That I'll grant you. Utterly weird, and the whole conceit the thing was based on was quite strange. Loved it. Weird doesn't mean there's anything *wrong* with it. Doesn't even make it less realistic.

Your loss. Frankly, you're freaked out because your expectations about convention were violated, not because of anything actually wrong with the story. This kind of thinking will leave you only able to enjoy things that don't stray from convention, which is a pity because a lot of the most fun things are fun precisely because of their creative violation of convention.

I thought this manga was quiet enjoyable. Got me squealing when I saw Kojirou-dog's cute self from the very first page. xD lol.
