the anime version was first, too fast, and the ending didnt make any sense (probably because there was no epilogue) and was obviously different from the manga (another example is the fact whether hotaru was a boy or girl in real life differs in both versions)

Chibis!
I like how it's all Chibis of the Another Birth characters! It's really amusing, but I like the manga better than the anime. They're just... too chibi there.
Kite -> Shugo Back Rose -> Rena Mistral -> Mireille Elk -> Hotaru Balmung -> Ouka?? I'm not sure about the last one, but they're a little alike, don'cha think? |

 And I think that part of the reason that they're so cute is that the Artist (Rei Idumi) IS really talented and her characters are really chibi and cute ^-^ (there's another manga drawn by her... Hibiki's Magic)
