Default Just another cliched manga/anime~

Main boy likes some girl; Main girl likes some boy. The Mains befriend each other. The world doesn't understand them. They are going to fall in love with each other. Surprised? I'm not.

Super-hot model comes in. Wears a mask to hide herself. Retarded as hell. I'm going to guess she's going to try and "steal" Ryuuki or whatever that guy's name is, and eventually falls in love with him. Not sure why, because that guy is a pussy.

I'm not impressed. But, anything romance and a lot of cheesy scene where there is little to no "real" development between characters and they just fall in love seems to please any Otaku-wannabe. Makes me sick.

Though, I think the light novels are much better.

Default Sorry, I have to disagree

I have disagree with a lot of what of you're saying especially involving the anime because although it does appear to be an obvious cliche on the surface there is a lot more depth to it. Firstly, Taiga doesn't act like any cliche shoujo manga character, she has a tough exterior and tends to contradict her true feelings. If these two do eventually fall in love, it's not going to be in the typical fashion.

I'm not sure about the fact there's no character development either especially considering what we learn about both Ami, Taiga, and Kushieda. Each has a exterior that seems to be who they truly are at first but then we're caught off guard by learning more and more about them.

I have to it admit you do have to read pretty deeply to catch the undercurrent of what's going on this story but the reward is worth it. Nonetheless, if this Manga/Anime makes you sick the that's your prerogative.

Default Eh. He's not wrong.

Taiga isn't the usual shojo heroine, no. But she is just another tsundere loli that's become so damn popular recently. I don't know whether to call her Taiga, or Louise, or Shana, or whatever.

The theme of hidden personalities is a step in the right direction, but it's still far from interesting. I mean, they had a much better concept with the whole "he looks like a gangster, but he's actually a regular boy/she looks adorable, but she's actually psychotic" thing, but they completely ignored that after the first few chapters. A shame, since that would've made it less of a generic, cookie-cutter manga. I will say that Taiga and Ryuuji's relationship does progress somewhat, but it basically clicks forward between each chapter, which rather breaks the flow. Which, admittedly, is better than the groundhog day garbage you get with a lot of shonen romances, but still. It's a "tallest dwarf" situation.

It's really not that deep. It's not as tiresome as a lot of these things, sure, but it's far from interesting.

Default yep

yep, the tsundere loli is popular. same basic character design, same voice actor in the anime, same personality...

Well, if all you're doing is just explaining to everyone on how much you dislike it, then it's better to just keep it to yourself, the story is good, you just can't make time for yourself to take it for what it is.

Also, you may think it's just another generic manga or anime, but in my opinion, I don't think so as much, maybe it's because we look at it differently.

Default please you must be careful of your comments...

i am posting here because of something that heero10 said. and i quote "But, anything romance and a lot of cheesy scene where there is little to no "real" development between characters and they just fall in love seems to please any Otaku-wannabe. Makes me sick." I understand that you do not like these kind of stories, and i respect that. After all, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. However, judging people as wannabes just because they like these types of stories would seem that you think so highly of yourself, and that only people who are NOT into these genre have the right to be called otaku (in its positive sense). i suggest that you be careful of how you phrase your comments. you may not like what others like and no one is asking you to comply to what others may think is good. so i hope you also have the decency to stop judging others. also, please do not spoil the experience of those who are just about to read it. you may not be aware of it, but a lot of people rely on comments written in forums like this. let them judge for themselves.

and here i thought (about the anime at least) that it was kinda different. you know at least there is no touchy-feely-lovey-dovey stuff and i find it funny from time to time. i like it.

dude don't waste your time on people like heeero10. there are people like him who thinks that the only good [manga/anime/light novels/etc..] there are, are those that they like.. most people like them just fail to understand that other people might appreciate things like this or have their own preferences. they mostly think that what they think is good should be good for all other readers and what they think are bad should be bad for others too >.<

and it goes to another level when they start judging other people based on what they read.

Default anime and manga

it hard to really judge the manga because it hardly went develop the story gets so much better ( from the anime) if you acually got hold of the light novel i understand ragging on it but i still think your wrong i been keeping track in the anime and the story looks great if the manga follows it more in depth

I have to say that if there was someone given superpowers of supreme patheticness, Ryuuji is that person. Understandable that I also can't stand the main character given zero flaws. But, damn Ryuuji takes the cake of pathetic characters, and there's been a few in the mangas I've read.

The character trait that's been dragged through the mud is Shana/Louise/Taiga. Dog this, dog that, slave this, slave that, shuddup and take whatever crap I give you.

The only thing I can find somewhat refreshing is Minori, which surprising alot of people hate. Not your standard character compared to what other characters involved.

And I believe this forum was setup to voice one's opinion of the manga, if you don't like the comments then read it and move on. Who are you to say they have no right to voice what they think of the manga...
