For those who are up to the latest chapter: (so if you're not, this may be a spoiler for you)

Mase is really lame. I mean, he loved the girl for three f@#$ing years and she rejected him for good reason, and now he is all over the other b@@#Tch? So pathetic.

What a weak guy. Mase needs to grow some balls, and I am not talking about basketball. If he loved the girl as much as he made it sound like he did, he wouldn't be kissing random, easy skanks.

So, his love was pretty pitiful and weak after all. Good thing the girl decided to go out with the other dude. Who needs a pitiful guy like that, who can just do 360 and give up so easily. Not me.

Agreed. I don't get why there are people rooting for Mase at all. Admittedly he probably doesn't like Natsumi (romantically) but is just trying to get over the female protagonist (or make her jealous), but doing that just makes him even more disappointing for a male protagonist. Sometimes it seems that the mangaka's so busy trying to write a romance with "human" characters (flaws and all) that they overdo it. -_-"

Well...Couldn't he be getting back at Aki for dating someone else after rejecting him? You have to remember Mase just found out why they started going out, and plus who wouldn't be upset if the girl you've liked for a while started dating someone out of what seems like pity? Then again, I'm obviously pro Mase

I just think he looks better although that is weak logic

u guys really don't get it, do u. the reason Mase didn't go after her is because he really believed her when she said she loved another guy and not him. That really hurts a person especially when u say it to their face, they really believe you. And if he goes after her and keeps pushing it, he'll just get hurt even more because he will just get rejected ever time and hear that hateful phrase of I don't love u but i love this other guy. It hurts when you know that the person u love doesn't love you back.

the whole "oh imma push you down and force to confess" thing, and then jus cause his pride was hurt, he goes and says, "i think imma date aki."
is like WTF???
and if the mangaka is trying to humanize characters, it jus had the OPPOSITE effect.

(although i find that other guy boring. And the main girl, (fergot her name) is quite the weird one for liking Mase. i think she should find some awesome hot guy and hook up with him and leave those two stranded. XD muahahhaah.)

Mase is lame, sorry. You can't convince me at all. If his love was really genuine and sincere, he would not give up on her, no matter what.

If he knew that he could love her more than anyone, and he would be the one who would bring happiness to her life, then he would not give up on her. He wouldn't initiate pain, as he has been doing so. He is selfish. If he can't have her, then he wants her to be miserable with someone else. So gross.

He is a weak, fragile, easily-influenced character who gets broken down when things don't go his way.

actually i liked Mase in the beginning of the manga.
but when i read Chapter 7, i kinda start hating him because
while in the girls' changing room, i think he felt disappointed that Aki still chooses Hojo over him, and when he told Aki that maybe he's gonna date Natsumi, i felt like he decided to date Natsumi on purpose, to make Aki regret? or to make her jealous.

in my own opinion, jealous guys who date other girls are kinda pathetic >.<
they should not give up on the girl they like! not date other girls to make them jealous!

I'd have to object to that. First of all, Aki never really knew that Mase liked her, and she had every right to go out with Hojo. Dating someone he doesn't love as an act of revenge though still is pathetic as well so that pretty much sums up that Mase is a pathetic excuse for a main character of a manga. v.v What a disappointment. This would be a good manga the characters picked up their act a little.

How can you love a person for three years and not tell her/him? IMO that's dumb. Mase and Aki are really two cowards that do not even know how to express their own feelings.
