I rented the anime of the Mysterious Play from Netflix and was like "OMG! I HAVE 2 READ THIS!"

I jump online and start reading and am like, "Wow. This is nothing like the anime" and realized that there r 2 different Fushigi Yuugis. LOL.

So I read some pages of this 1st....but now I'm correcting my error and am currently reading The Mysterious Play (on ch. 42).

I read the original FY first,
Since FY:GK only just started publishing in English in 2005.

I have to admit that I like this story plot more.
Takiko is so much more independent than Miaka.
And I like that :D

I actually watched the whole thing on DVD, of Fushigi Yugi. And I only bought 2 volumes of the manga. :/ I gave up on the manga. I figured it would have too many volumes to buy. I heard of the new one, but never thought about reading it. Ehgk, I never liked Miaka. All she did was get in the way and ate. D:<

My friend told my about the original FY and at first I wasn't interested(sounded a little too lovey-dovey even for me

). But after reading everything else I planned on reading I dedcided to check it out. I began by watching the anime first and the next thing i knew I LOVED FUSHIGI YUUGI

!!!

All I was watching was Fushigi Yuugi,I even cried every time one of the Suzaku Seven were killed(especially Nuriko

). This series touched my heart soo much I decided to read the manga afterwards and then finally the Genbu Kaiden series.

I have to admit GK is okay...but the original will always have a special place in my heart

i actually first watched the fushigi anime, i think way back in 2000??

i also watched the all OVAs as well and quickly became a fan. Heheh. I didn't get to read the manga though, since I really wasn't as eager since I already watched the series. But now that the prequel FYGK is being released, I am now constantly waiting for the release of the next chapters.

I watched a couple of episodes of Fushigi Yuugi, but I never read the manga. I'm currently reading Fushigi Yuugi Genbu Kaiden, and I gotta say it is way better than Fushigi Yuugi. Takiko is a better heroine - strong, independent, prettier. And she's not cute and dumb and eats a lot. Nor does she cry to her knight in shining armor as much as Miaka did. At least Takiko can fight. Plus the art in Genbu Kaiden is much better than in Fushigi Yuugi. And they both have cute romances.

ya. but i really thought kaiden was better as in more like yuu watase's other mangas which i looooove. but mysterious play was alright in the foony department

but honestly takiko looks like a lot of watase's other heroines, and thats okay cuz shes still pretty. i dont like how her friend (in mysterious play) can go into the other world with her and can talk to her. its better when its all in the family. all around genbu kaiden is just kick face compared to mysterious play

I read the first Fushigi Yuugi =]].

But i like the heroine in Fushigi Yuugi : Genbu Kaiden much better.She knows how to defend herself and how cool is that.=D.Cant wait for more chapters ^^!.

i actually started reading these from the library, and i started with this series, but the order on the epl website was messed up, so i put a hold on the 5th one on the mysterious play, cause at the time the 5th genbu kaiden wasnt out, LOL iwa slike `WHOAAAAA K wtf is this like and entire side story? omg what did i msiss in the 4 th one?? WHATS HAPPENING

it was quite funny
then i went back on the site and saw there where 2 different story lol
and i agree, i think the genbu kadien one is alot better then the mysterious play, im happy that takiko can defend herself and actually DOES STUFF, unlike miaka who fails at well....everything xD
i really hope that yuu watase writes the biako story too!!! it seems sooooooooo sad!
