NO WONDER this was so familiar i played the game Hack Infection for this i borrowed it actually... w/e.. omg i cant believe they have an anime for it!!! that game is fun! ima borrow that game again :]

i played until i went to the next city.. i forgot its name well.. until i got the flute for the pig to ride on

Yeah, this has an anime, but there isn't a PS2 game for it.
The characters look the same in a previous series, so maybe you're confused?

Yes there are a Hack Game actually its a 4 part game for the PS2, where you play the avatar Kite, but you are not twins with Black rose, you do meet her in the world.

the 4 parts are //Hack: Infection.
//Hack: Mutation.
//Hack: Outbreak.
//Hack: Quarantine.

the game/games (since there are 4 parts) was made by Cyberconnect2 and published by Bandai.

I think you misunderstood my post. I'm well aware of the first four .hack video games. What I meant was that .hack//DUSK (Legend of the Twilight) has no video game for it. Please don't shoot up people on a whim.

The animes for .hack normally suck by my standards. Compared to the video games, books, and movie at least. I heard that .hack//DUSK (Legend of the Twilight Anime Equivalent) was really bad, and wasn't even cannon. The manga makes more sense.

But the video games are the best out of everything. I like the GU series the most, but the first game is a little boring, and the gameplay is very easy compared to the INFECTION, MUTATION, OUTBREAK, QUARANTINE series (aka, the first four games of .hack). I'm not surprised that the anime isn't as good as the video games. It's only a remake, after all. They started out making the games, so I guess video games are the specialty!

All of the PS2 games are really rare (at least where I live) if you want to play them which i highly recommend order them online. Funny thing is I'm playing Infection atm lol but ya they are all great games. Also there is a PSP game in the works for those who care!

it's true,the games are pretty rare(the original series,i mean). i'm still trying to find Outbreak.

and i find that .hack//Roots was a bit good before playing the games... >.>

I have .Hack Infection, Mutation,Outbreak and Quarantine. As well as GU Rebirth, Reminisce and Redemption. I must say though, they're a bit too Dungeon-hacking, however, the story itself isn't bad (I'll admit that some of the last parts of Redemption where a bit corny IMO).

The two series have a different battle/roaming system, but both are pretty good. I'm kinda in favor of GU's battle system (the satisfying sound of RENGEKI!) and

In my opinion

Original .hack>.hack GU in terms of story
.hack GU>original .hack in terms of gameplay
