Finally... finally another shoujo I can enjoy!
It's been months since I found a shoujo/het manga worth reading. Most of them immediately occupy themselves with romance and build a flimsy plot around it, and the characters are from the same cliche stock. Akagami though, I fell in love with the whimsical and sweet plot that concerns itself more with building the characters than the romance, though you can see the potential love beating warmly in the background.
I took a special liking to the main character as well. Most shojo plots either have a meek girl who finds a prince to protect her; when they portray a "strong" girl, it's usually a brazen, less-than-intelligent brat who ends up breaking down anyway and needing the main prince to rescue her anyway. Shirayuki was different, though. She possesses a calm demeanor, but she isn't meek. She has a quiet strength with her, and doesn't wait for anyone to rescue her, and instead uses her own resourcefulness to get herself out of a tough situation. I also give credit to the prince for respecting her instead of treating her as a possession (I don't understand why guys think it's not totally demeaning for a girl to be hefted like a sack of potatoes and hear everyone be told that she "belongs to me (the guy)" like she's a pet, but it happens in every other manga) In other words... yeah. GO READ IT. xD |

Ahahahha!!Yeah i know ^______________^!!This manga is GREAAAT!Whoot whoot!Ahahhaahahah...Yeahh this manga is DIFFERENT then other types of mangas,its not the kind thats like guys selfishly taking over ladies...And all those cr@p...This is one hell-of-@ good-@ss manga ^^ !!You should try reading the other ones that the mangaka made.Theyre pretty awesome too!

yep. this is a special shoujo manga created by akizuki sensei who wrotes the best shoujo manga ever. i love the characters personality, shirayuki is strong, smart, and brave. mann, she's so great and special not like other shoujo manga girls with their glassy eyes crying for help, soo lame. the prince is handsome and wonderful. he respects shirayuki and he's not showing the 'shoujo manga activity' to shirayuki. i like this manga soo much. but please.. i want moree! i wait patiently!

shirayuki is the kind of female lead i would like to find more often on mangas. The charm, inner strength and intellectual this girl has it
 . I'm really hook on this warm and sweet story. i would truly recommend this to anyone is amazingly fresh!!!
