Good Graphic. Good Story. A light read.
A very light hearted enjoyable read. With characters that are simple and easy to understand. The good old gender bender story, with a few bishis and a few beautiful ladies, a goody/baddy and a whole lot of complicated emotions set in a historical scene. Gave me a few good laughs. And it get raunchy too.
Worth a read if you want some light hearted romance with a twist. But I have always loved chinese mythology. Hu Li Jing aka Fox Demons are not an exception.

hmm..cos in the chinese religious culture, we sometimes ask ourselves why we sacrifice so much for one person; is it becos we owed them a debt in our past life?
so the debt actually gets carried over to your next life, even if you are an animal in your next life cos we have chinese folklores of human-recarnated-animals who sacrifice themselves for their human benefactor of their past life. |

I'm a huge fan of this mangaka, I bought their Real/Fake Princess series and loved it. It's a sweet read of 5 volumes and wraps up nicely. I enjoy the art style and the comedy always mixed in. So if you like Divine Melody check that out too, you gotta be a shoujo lover. I indeed am.
 (Divine Melody was recently licensed, checked the first volume out at the bookstore last week!)

after reading a bit further... it's not a light read anymore...
there's bunch of people dying here and there... and those "taoists" are annoying... they just kill anything that isn't human...

ah yea, it depend on the people though. Taoists got a bad image here, but in some movies about taoists i watched, they actually good people
