i think that was not part of the story.... it was an extra. isn't it that in that last part, Shibuki was a killer (or something like that) and Juuna was living with her father and went to another school... was that an all girls school or co-ed?

who knows the short story says return of the guardian so it could be a different story.or maybe they got the story mixed up somehow we will never know

 Personally, i think it would've been better if the girl 'woke up' next to him at the end of that extra and tied it in with the main plot.... you know.. the "It was all a dream? *gasp*i guess no matter wat, i'd alwayz love you..." or the "he tries to wake her up from her dream and finally succeeds and then she goes to gush on about her awesome, action-packed dream, and then they both declare their undying for each other no matter what" type of thing :P sorry... but i hate it when they say it's an extra chapter or when a "return of" and then they completely change the characters' Identities but keep their names.... @.@ it's too confusing....and annoying.
