Archer's true origin....
My friend told me that Archer is also another side of shirou. I don't really know. Is it true? Can anyone confirm it?

He's Shirou from the future who has become a hero. As opposed to the young Shirou who has yet to become a hero.

The Fate/Stay Night manga is based on a very popular "Visual Novel" released a few years back, we've read the novel. Which incidentally is far better than the TV or Manga version.

Online? Well doing a search at a few online stores would do it. Amazon doesn't have it, you'll need a store that imports from Japan. Since it hasn't been officially translated from Japanese and isn't sold outside of the country. One of the reasons being it has scenes of extreme violence and explicit sexual descriptions; with pictures. It's M rated.
If you get a copy, there are unofficial translations floating around, the English one does 2/3rds of the novel. Past Archer's scenes actually. EDIT; In case you don't know; a "Visual Novel" is a type of computer game. |

For the people who have seen the anime and manga but not the visual novel, I'm sorry. You people have totally missed something more epic than both the anime and manga combined (and not because it's an M rated game).
BTW, the games English Patch is now completed till HEAVENS FEEL!!! For those people who have been waiting for this, get it... NOW. This path is as wonderful as the first two
