A BIG question!!!
Is Ash's father REALLY Giovanni?
 I've read a couple of fics that says Giovanni is actually Ash's dad. Now, is this canon or just the authors' idea??? if so, can anyone give me a link of the episode where it confirms or hints that?

There was a show called Pokémon Live, where it was stated Delia was involved with Giovanni, though it's also specifically stated she left him and his gang when she met Ash's Father. Though this isn't canon, the storyboard editor himself stated Ash's Father is on his own journey and will be introduced when Ash needs to mature greatly. Therefore, Gio ain't Ash's dad, seeing as he's constantly in a base and CLEARLY not on a Pokémon Journey/

I think he's the most likely candidate that we've seen in the show, but that might just be me being biased because I think he's a cool guy and a buffet of manliness and I happen to like pairing him off with Delia. Also, the fact that the animé has pointedly avoided any sort of confrontation. But, y'know. Obviously it could just be coincidence.
POKÉMON LIVE. The guy who played Giovanni in that was hot. And his songs were pretty awesome. There'll be total devastation. ...uhhh, and I don't know the words to them or have them on my computer or anything

^ I hope you know all your posts relating to the villains have cracked me up ever since I joined here.
 I'm pretty sure Giovanni isn't Ash's dad. An interview with one of the writers of the staff said that Ash's dad is a "wandering trainer", which...really doesn't sound like Giovanni to me. As for the Pokemon Live musical...it had some nice songs, but I wouldn't count it as canon, just another attempt to make money by the then-current Pokemon company in the USA. |

Personally, I am strongly against the whole Giovanni is Ash's Dad thing. The whole thing was born when that damn stage musical Pokemon Live! came out, which by the way non-cannoncal, something very important that people are forgetting. Basically, what happened was that in Pokemon Live! it's revealed that Delia, Ash's mother, was once apon a time a bad girl and went out with Giovanni before she changed her ways and became good. It was just that very part that started the whole thing, even though apparently it was also stated that it was someone else who is Ash's dad. It has never been mentioned in the Anime that Gio is Ash's dad- let alone that him and Delia used to girlfriend-boyfriend.
Besides, Giovanni is Silver's dad, not that loser Ash.

Giovanni was never that loser's Dad! If ash was any cooler, its possible. But ash's still a big big big big big loser! (sorry, ash-lovers!! 'if there are any out there!')
