,.im soooo confuse because i read some thread that says DETECTIVE CONAN OVA!?...i dunno what is it...but i saw that conan,haibara,ayumi,genta,mitsuhiko become older..!!...i cant understand!!...all i know is the anime episodes,the movies and manga!!help help!!can someone explain this to me?what is OVA???????....is this included how the story goes??waaaaa

,.or is it like a filler only?...

Well, I don't really know what is the real meaning of "OVA" but, don't worry, OVAs are not including in the story goes. It is just episodes that are apart from the story. Maybe the author wanted to do something else... another way of story...^^
Conclusion : OVAs don't change the story goes.

OVA means Original Video Animation. It was not made into manga and not made by Aoyama. And don't worry, OVA's do not do something in the REAL story.

I'll explain this whole OVA to you.
First-off, it's title is 'The Stranger in 10 Years'. It's the 9th OVA released since 2000. Anyways, on with the story.

Conan has a cold. Ran tells him instructions on what to do since she has to leave for school. After Ran leaves, Conan hears Sonoko advise Ran to forget about Shinichi and hook-up with Araide. He curses and goes off to sleep anyway.
Some time later, he is awakened by a phone call from Ai. She asks him about his cold and tells him that she has formulated yet again a temporary antidote for APTX-4869 and wants him to come to Agasa's lab to take it. He agrees, brings Shinichi's school clothes and runs to the place. He finds Ai there but she wants him to take his temperature first. He reluctantly agrees. Ai comments that his temperature is high but he doesn't care and proceeds to take the antidote.
Leaving the restroom, he sees that Ai is gone from the room. While running to the school, he notices that the tree in his yard has gotten taller, but passes it as that he was used to seeing it as Conan. In the school, he checks his locker, but it isn't there. He looks at the others but it's not there either. His gym teacher passes by and he notices too that the teacher has gotten older.He goes to his classroom to suprise everybody but they weren't, and Ran wasn't there. He checks the Karate Club but it's locked. He sees the door next to it called the 'Detective Club' and opens it.
3 people were inside. The fat boy comments that it took Shinichi a long time to come. The girl reminds him that the 4 of them promised that they would eat at the place every Thursday. The thin boy deduces that Shinichi probably ate somewhere else. At this moment Shinichi gets confused. He realizes that these 3 people are none other that Ayumi, Genta, and Mitsuhiko themselves. He wonders why they are in high school. Ayumi suddenly says that Conan looks strange. Mitsuhiko says it's because Conan's not wearing his glasses. Genta asks him why. 'Conan' takes his glasses from his pocket and puts them on. Ayumi says that he looks good like that while Genta and Mitsuhiko get jealous. Conan asks them if they are already in 2nd year high school. The 3 of them laugh and answer that they are. Conan thinks it's a dream and tries to pinch himself but it didn't work. Now he wonders what's happening.
Behind him, someone tells him to move out of the way. He realizes it's Ai. She sits down and reads a magazine while ignoring the Detective Boys' comments on her. Conan tells her to follow him. They go in the school yard and Conan demands what's going on. She tells him that they have never found a Conclusion on the Black Org. and attended middle and high school as time passed. He has transformed back so many times on the antidotes she's making that Conan has developed a full immunity to it and the last time he changed back to Shinichi was 5 years ago. The school bell rings and Ai leaves to get to class but after reminding Conan that he should stay at home and rest. He agrees.
Going back home, there's an interview with Heiji on tv and that he has become very famous. The interviewer comments on the ladies of Hattori and Kazuha suddenly butts in. She rudely says that nobody would like Heji for he has dark skin. Heiji retorts, and the 2 argue. The interviewer interrupts and asks the two when they are going to get married. The two blushes at this and repeats the word.
Back at the agency, Conan says that the Mouri Detective Agency has gotten quite old. He goes in and Kogoro comments on him. Sonoko is also there and comments on Conan's skipping classes. She then realizes that she has no right in scolding him because she herself skipped class. Kogoro comments Sonoko on her being the Suzuki family heiress and Sonoko scolds him for drinking too much. He tells her to shut up because he'll get depressed if he can't drink because Yoko Okino had retired and had married already. He cries. Sonoko giggles and gets a beer for herself. Conan says that the 2 don't feel anything strange with him freeloading there for 10 years.
Sonoko arrives again and says that Ran has finally decided. Kogoro and Conan don't understand this and Sonoko reminds the 2 of Ran's marriage with Araide. Conan gets suprised and Sonoko wonders why he is so shocked when he knew about Araide's proposal to Ran 2 years ago. She tells him that Ran was actually still waiting for Shinichi, and that she went to her and Shinichi's place of memories. Conan asks her where it is, but she doesn't know. He then leaves the place.
All day, he checks the different places where he and Ran could've had a great memory in: Tropical Land, the Restaurant, Tokyo Tower... but no luck. In the evening he checks his house and on the doorway sees shoes. He knws then that Ran is in there. In the library, he sees Ran but she tells him not to ope the lights because she's crying. Conan asks her about the marriage and tells her not to accept it. She asks him why, and he removes his glasses and tells her that he's Shinichi. She doesn't believe him anymore, and puts his glasses back on. She has already decided that she will turn down the proposal because she will still wait for Shinichi. Conan is overjoyed by this and tells her again who he really is, but he suddenly faints.
In reality, the real 7-year-old Conan wakes up and Ai is beside him. He asks her what happened and she tells him that he did change back, but since he has a high fever, he had nightmares. But its kinda confusing to read that very long story. My advice is make it more delicious to read, separate the paragraphs, give some indentations, or maybe you need me to edit it? yeah yeah Im quite good at it. XD

He asks her what happened and she tells him that he did change back, but since he has a high fever, he had nightmares. It turns out that even though you need to have a cold to turn normal, it won't work in high temperature. Ai then leaves. Conan, exasperated by this, tells himself to go to sleep again. He wakes feeling much better and Ran and the others had dinner. He then feels grateful that he's Conan again. Araide compliments Ran on the food, and Conan eats his food faster, getting jealous. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So yeah, that's pretty much the whole story.
