I was just thinking the other day that Amu just might be adopted

.....this thought came to me because Amu doesn't look at all like her mum or dad (i know in some other animes/mangas the kids don't look like thier parents)...anywayz she doesn't look anything like her mum & da or even her sister ami...plus her personality isn't like her mum & dad's either if you think about it.....so I was thinking that she might be adopted.....thats why she sometimes thinks that her mum & dad act wierd......at the moment in the manga they're going through thi time machine thing aswell...so it might go back to the time when amu was first adopted.....but these are my thoughts....what do you think

i hope she's not adopted , idk how amu will accept that

I wonder about that too sometimes. I thought Amu dyed as part of here Cool & Spicy act but, as I recall in the anime, Amu even had pink hair when she was very young, so that's out of the question. I do wonder about the possiblilty of Amu beign adopted could appear in the new arc, since this is a really good time for that question. I'm not exactly sure though if it's Peach-Pits idea for some kind of symbolism or maybe it's just there.

I've thought about this too. It could happen, but I don't think it will. My friends and I just joke around that she dyes her hair (and yes, her mother dyed her hair even when she was teeny! XD)

The most likely reason Amu has pink hair is because she is the main character, therefore Peach-Pit wants her to stand out, so they give her pink hair. Manga-ka do it all the time and they do it a lot in anime as well.

Of course, there is always the possibility that one of Amu's grandmothers had pink hair (either on her mother or father's side of the family) and she got the pink hair gene from them (thereby making it recessive, which would make sense, because even in the world of Shugo Chara very few people have pink hair.)

But...Who knows?

Did u read my mind..O.o..i thought the same thing...haha...but when i was thinking this i was also remember Kamichama Karin and thinking they might have went Kamichama Karin on us and someone else is really her parents..maybe tadase is her dad O.O..lol...

No.
The only blonds are Tsukasa, Utau, Lulu and Tadase. Amu has PINK hair. Alot of animes and mangas make thier main characters stand out or be obvious, and a sure and popular way to do that is to make her have pink hair-naturally. Besides, its the same reason Kairi has green hair and Ikuto has blue!!
If u look at P-Ps other work you'll find another main character has pink hair as well. Its a popular color choice for characters.

The blond hair part was obviously a typo that I am now going to fix. I meant to put pink, not blond. Sorry, my bad, you don't have to point out the typo/mistake like I'm a moron though. That's not appreciated. I know that Amu is not blond, thank you very much.

I really doubt that she is adopted. Peach-Pit might have given her pink hair... because they like pink hair. In a story I'm creating, the main character has purple hair because I like purple hair.
