I just cant stop thinking for the next stop of SH crew, mermaid island. Its too bothering me.
1st. You know that SHC cant get simply meet each other. Back before they split, namis log pose had already been set to go to MI. You know too how log pose works. If day had pass, i think the log pose miss the dir. How can they get there?

2nd.do you know what will happen if the log pose lost it dir?what island it pointing to?if nowhre,how they ctd their adv in an extreme grand line?
3rd.from the 1st chap until now,seem i cant simply meet mermaid/man that eat DF.am i miss it?if mermaid/man eat it, can they swim? Lol! I just think mermaid/man know something secret behind DF,that keeping them from eat it..

1. They would probably use an eternal pose.

2. It would probably settle to a direction based on the magnetic fields close by, and wouldn't be any reliable.

3. Simply because they don't want to. They are secluded from the rest of the world, and if they couldn't swim, it would be no point in being a fishman, except for their massive strength. It would separate them from ther homes, and thee's a lot of people not wanting to eat DF because they don't want any weird powers.

All paths in the grand line eventually converge at the red line before moving into the new world. No matter which path they end up on, they'll inevitably end up at Fishman Island again, I think.

Fishmen probably don't want to eat Devil Fruits. They're at their strongest in the water, they wouldn't want to lose their ability to swim.

1.Ive the same idea with you too that maybe SHC would use the eternal pose. But back again to the first grandline island, ive already thinking that why must pirate still wanting to use log pose than keep more eternal pose in their navigt room. Its more easy, safe, and timeless to refill the pose. Is that easy to get them?
2.are that pose is the same behav with ordinary compass?i mean if theres two island. Distance to get to ilnd A is 50kms and ilnd B is 51kms.will log pose pointing to A?if B,then i think log pose look more like compass then.just spining and spining.
3.about 'secluded',yeah it settled me down^^.
But still(sory),if merman has more power in both area, island and water, then not human race they scared from. Cause human strength was to weak for them. Except the DFU and (maybe) haki user.

well they all have a vivre card that points to Rayleigh...soo there's no problem with the SH crew's meeting
its been bothering me too that no merman have a DF power
well i guess it wouldn't be fair if they have a DF power w/out its side effect(not able to swim) cause they can still breathe under water

Even if a Fishman with a Devil Fruit power could breath underwater, they'd still lose their strength and sink. Then they'd be stuck lying at the bottom of the ocean.

Yeah, beside the mermaid island you could get into new world by using the marijoa if you were marine i think. But thats not the point. If they cant get the eternal pose in an instant they should end up back to water7 or other island to refill the log pose for MI. But it takes another journey. And vivre card just pointing to rayleigh not the MI.
If their log pose empty on the ocean, i dunno if they could get into the mermaid island.
And what do you think now, can namis log pose pointing to next island? Maybe someone should give SH an eternal pose to make it simple(already conf x_x)
i agreed to with t0pz01, what if jimbei dosnt learn haki at all. If other fishman like him learn haki and eat df, do you think they would bcome even stronger? But why theres no one here?

i don't think so. it's raftel that you mean. whichever path you choose, your final destination is raftel.

i think nami only have log pose. and as you said before log pose have its "active" time. btw, they have vivre card to meet up with rayleigh right? then if they meet up in shabody archipelago i guess there's no problem. shabody is near to merman island right? and if the worst happened they can ask jimbei or hachi to deliver them to merman island.

yes raftel is the final destination but thats in the new world he was reffering to the 1st half of grandline...
everyone need to go through fisman island before arriving in the new world which is the 2nd half of grandline

This is what I meant. Or more specifically, a log pose always points to the next island, it's hard to go backwards, so no matter what route you ended up on you'd be heading to the red line, and once you're at the red line, the only way through is Fishman Island. The route the Straw Hats were on can't be the only way to get there, or pirates on the other routes wouldn't get anywhere.
