yeah..i'm wondering about that too..i thought the mangaka are going to tell us the reason in the extra chapter..i thought that the gay guy is the cause

In the extra chapter, Rin seems to be very obsessed with how others see her and even yells at Shima about holding herself back when it comes to Nishizono. Maybe it was the stress of maintaining her image in front of others and then facing the possibility of a future beside someone who may be in the limelight (as an author) that pushed her to the edge of her reason.

I REALLY wanted to know why she did that and also thought that the mangaka was gonna tell us in the extra chapter :( . Maybe it had to do with Shika or her self consciousness like some said before. I think it does suit the story a little bit that no one knows the truth about rin's suicide, because it's something that makes the characters be as they are. On the other side i would have likes to know what happened to Chiho, so sad, though it gives credability to the story, there can't always be completely happy endings, things are not like that in the real world. ...... It still nags me
