Let's assume that the non-ending takes hold, and almost all the women shown end up as one of Rito's wives. So how would this all play out? Here's my take :
1 - King Rito - Accepts the harem idea not out of lust but out of not wanting to break any heart that might be given to him. He is actually more engaged in administration than Lala's dad. His time with each of his wives still resembles the way in which he would hang around with a girl in the manga on a given day. He calms down and finds the sex is great, but balancing all the feelings has him in more trouble than ever. 2 - Queen Lala - The line of succession to the throne is through her alone, though she allows for the children of others to be possible candidates, realizing her kids may not want the throne any more than she did. She is also the gatekeeper wife, and new wives can only join with her approval--which, knowing Lala, may not always involve Rito's approval. More than any other, she views the other spouses as her sisters. 3 - Regent Haruna - Automatically in charge if Rito and Lala are not available, and just as popular in the galaxy as she was in HS. If Lala is who Rito turns to for excitement, Haruna is who he turns to for sanity and comfort. She sometimes wishes she was the one and only, but loves Lala too much for that to be more than a stray thought. 4 - First Princess Mikan - Heir Presumptive to the throne should no children be produced (which Lala assures her won't happen) and most importantly, Royal Aunt to all her brother's children, in charge of the very large staff used to raise them. The upshot is, she ends up having authority and influence over the heirs that their parents never will. 5 - Kotegawa - Surprisingly, she adjusts rather easily to the idea of the harem; Earth's laws for the most part forbid it, but not out in space, so she has less of a morality problem. She becomes protocol minister, and is in charge of court events and functions. 6 - Saki - Not one of Rito's wives, but Zastin's, realizing that the servant of the galactic rulers wields more power than all her father's Earthly associates combined. Aya and Rin are there with her, as always. 7 - Mikado-Sensei - Court Physic, of course, but Rito makes a deal with her to have her own research planet in exchange for not messing with him-so to speak. She insists on one conjugal visit a year, from which Rito always returns shaken and pale. 8 - Nana and Momo are harder, but I can see them joining up just to always be around Lala. Celine will go wherever Rito is, and in her maturity, may want to, but I see him drawing the line firmly. Golden Darkness continues her vigil to make certain no one else touches her 'target'--or Mikan. I know there's more cast, but that's how I see it, with the Yuukis perhaps becoming Court Record Keeper (Which he then sells as a manga) and Court Fashionista.
