Ok i know this has been discussed many time but i was re reading chapter 40 when Tamaki has a cold and he think he's a pervert for wanting to kiss Haruhi...etc.

During the part where Tamaki's dad comes to visit him and he says somethings that i had forgotten about ( well it was like 35 chapters ago and so much has happened it slipped my mind or got filed under aww cute Haruhi and Tamaki moments) These are the pages they're 27 and 28 but in case u didn't feel like clicking the next button (or ur computer is being a pain) they're both listed.

Basically he says that he could let Tamaki see his mom but he wants to see him persuade his grandmother on his own and take on the job of the family head.

Now does that explain what has been going on recently in Ouran, a little bit but i'm still not sure how ethical he is and Haruhi being sent away (possibly). There are still a lot of questions that i want answered. Even if Ouran ends and everyone lives happily ever after i won't be satisfied until everything is explained.lol

Also for the Yuzuru haters, it does show that he loves his son and its kinda a touching moment.

I read that chapter yesterday and basically thought the same thing

i don't hate Yuzuru, of course. but i think he's pushing all of tamaki's friends away in order for tamaki to succeed. Tamaki obviously wants to see his mother, (and i guess Yuzuru wants him to as well) but his mother really wants Tamaki to live happily and always smile. how can he do that if all of his friends are gone!? ><;;

I so agree about you on Yuzuru. I think it is more of the grandmother's doing pushing him away from his friends. In chapter 75, Yuzuru says to those there that they are of more influence over Tamaki than he is.

He didn't say that, he never said anything similar, on the contrary he said that they are becoming a bit troublesome now for him.

In the first translation it said something about his friends having more of an influence than him, but there is a new translations and it says about them being bothersome. I assume that the second translation is the correct one or revised one.

Oh, now I see yeah we replaced the first version with ours, this second is the correct one, and yes, there are some differences.

Yes, the second version put out my MR3 is correct. Yuzuru says Haruhi and crew are bothersome.

On to the question at hand: I think Yuzuru's motive is fairly clear. He seeks to reunify his family. I think what's not clear are his methods. He seems to be going the "tough love" route. With regards to his treatment of Haruhi and crew, Yuzuru was blunt, but I think in the current situation their intrusion into Suou family matters was inappropriate and would have caused problems for Tamaki if they had actually confronted Shuzue. This in turn would have interfered with Yuzuru's desire to reunify the family. As friends, Haruhi and the others should be there to support Tamaki as he deals with his grandmother, but they can't solve Tamaki's problems for him. In this respect, Kyouya, as usual, is acting rationally. As for Yuzuru formally ending the Host Club ... well, the Host Club is over. I think he's doing it as a father in a small way to make things easier on Tamaki and himself since it's clear Shizue doesn't approve. I don't think there's any ill will towards Haruhi and Tamaki's friends.

Where does Haruhi moving to America/leaving Ouran come into this? Or do you think that was a decision made later in the stiry when they found out how attached Tamaki is to Haruhi and the rest of the host club...?
