this was just a passing thought... what if? ACE is really the future rival of luffy to become the pirate king?
coz based on what's hapening now in one piece it wouldn't be imposible right? and a great character in manga always need an ultimate rival, right? for them to become much more stronger?

Could happen. WB said he wants Ace to be the king. If WB dies...maybe Ace wants to fulfill his wish or somesuch thing.

So, there could be a rivalry to become the pirate king between Ace and Luffy ....but it would not be based on a hate rivalry. More like a friendly rivalry between brothers. hmm...I can't decide if this is more boring than having an ultimate rival for the throne which you hate and fight with all you have got.
*goes thinking about that*

he wants WB become the pirate king.
but if WB dies. i dont think that Ace wanna be the pirate king himself. as a though he will join Dragon for WBs revenge to destroy WG.

it's possible...but not likely, cause if WB dies the rest of the WB pirates will not follow ACE, well he can always gather new comrades/nakama but doubt it..

and if WB dies I don't think ace would want to become pirate king, he will do everything to avenge WB

It's possible, though I don't want that to happen. Luffy already acknowledged Coby as his future rival, and at the moment there is Smoker

i'm agree with the theory that ace will avenge the WG.. except WB himself said he wanted ace to be the pirate king.. LOL
