Good news! After flipping through this month's (being December issue, 2009), I discovered that DNAngel is slated to resume publication as of January 2010's issue of Asuka, which will be released on the 25th of December November 24th, 2009.

The blurb offered little in the way of new information, only that the new chapters would begin a new story arc (of course), and that Daisuke's relationship with Riku would be a feature of said arc - at least for this new chapter.

I think that's a fair trade-off considering (of the girls) Riku's been the main focus from around Vol.2 to Vol.8 non-stop (hogging the spotlight much, as you so quaintly phrased it?). Good thing Risa actually got some development too instead of it being so one-sided all the time. Of course that's notwithstanding whether you like the character or not, but fair's fair.

Good to hear D.N.Angel gets continued again, though. But then again - though not knowing the popularity of her other series - D.N.Angel I suppose is perhaps her most popular series and thus her best money-maker. Would be odd if she'd leave this unfinished, so I don't think there's that much danger of it ending up that way. Be optimistic!

For the coming arc, considering it is once more Daisuke/Riku centric, I'm hoping their relationship will advance at least a little. They've been dilly-dallying since the beach episodes and I'd like to see them get at least a little bit more intimate with each other instead of this almost awkward interaction they've had for the majority of the manga... though I suppose some consider Riku's shyness to be cute and sweet, but still if they'd at least advance to the level of holding hands without Riku going "KYAAAA!", getting embarrassed and then punching Daisuke, then I'd be happy. (Dark's presence excepted of course .) Or maybe if Riku'd get more confirmation on the whole Dark/Daisuke alter-ego thing, that'd be good too. Better yet would be to get both!

By the way, I love your last paragraph and agree completely. I think Riku totally knows about the Dark/Daisuke thing, just that she's only waiting for someone to admit it. *winks*

After Riku sayin "Give this to Dark for me" and Satoshi saving Risa, it's going to be really exciting to see how these two couples grow, it kind of makes me sad though to picture Dark disapearing in the manga the way he did in the anime, maybe something else will happen. Krad is a character I definatley want to learn more about though.
