Ah.. I've been sick all day (is this really an excuse?), so I don't know if this has been posted already, but I have reason to believe that Alma is Kanda's "special" person. From the very beginning, we've learned that Kandy has been searching for "that person", and he refuses to die until he locates him/her.

From the look on Kanda's face, almost... pathetic in a sense, when he saw Alma beneath him, it seems to me as if our lovable(?) brute held Alma very close to his heart. He looked so destroyed, childish and weak when he saw Alma--I never even thought that Kanda was capable of looking like that!

In addition to this, Alma seems like a total innocent sweetie-cake. That's probably why Kanda initially hated Allen--he reminded him of Alma, the person he had been searching for for nine years.

KANDA/ALMA AND YULLEN LOVE TRIANGLE, YO--

I mean, um... uhh... thoughts?

I noticed this too, but i didn't know if anyone else did. Ahh, love triangles, Hoshino-sensei is brilliant, ne? I wonder what's going to happen, and what Yuu will do about it D:
+ He was drawn so well and so pretty during this chapter, i wonder if she meant to draw him like that? ;D

And may i say that your icon is amazingly cute? I want to squish it and feed it candy~

OMG, I thought Kanda's expression was utterly priceless.
It's like, a blend of awe, pain, and all that you said.
And yeah, he was sooooo pretty in this chapter, especially when he was still unconscious next/on top of Alma (don't mean that to sound so wrong...)
Allen was drawn... rounder too (though he still looks adorable~~)

Forgive me but i Alma/Yu's relationship brotherly friendship.
Same goes with Allen.
Yu hates him but inside he loves him like a friend/brother.

don't make this into a Shonen-Ai/Yaoi please

Thank you!!! I dont like the idea that everyone says Kanda has special feeling for Allen in a romantic type of way cuz he doesnt!!!!!

Um. Uh. I was actually kidding around when I said that there was going to be a love triangle. Really, I was kidding >o> Gosh, don't immolate me for trying to make a joke.

Also, the main point of me starting this thread was to discuss the possibility of Alma being "that person" to Kanda, the one who he has been searching for this whole time. Whether he considers him to be a brother or a lover (I'd have to say the former, too, despite my affinity for shonen-ai), this does not refute what I am trying to discuss.

If you guys remember, Kanda has been looking for "that person", and refuses to die until he finds him. That is what I meant by "special person". Thank you.

I don't really think there is any doubt anymore that Alma is Kanda's special person.. in fact it seems like Alma is the ONLY person that Kanda has been close too.

As for Allen X Kanda, that is definetily a friendship(I think that Lenalee X Allen is starting to become pretty canon by now.. XD)..

As for Alma and Kanda it is still to early to know. In fact we have barely seen them interacting. I think that they are most likely "friends" but the Noah's comment about "Love and tragedy" in referance to Kanda and Alma's realtionship made it seem a little romantic? Especially since they have mostly used "friendship" or "like/care" as the word to explain a platonic love between to characters in D.Gray Man. Add that to Kanda's look when he saw Alma and the way the scene was drawn (Kanda looking feminine and the flowers and what not..) I'd say that we should not rule out the possibilty that there might be some romantic feelings there(possible onesided?)..

On another note; I'm getting really worried that they are going to kill off Kanda to wake up Alma.. What with the "you will get killed by the demon you created" and the kidnapping of Kanda..
