While all of them do have their share of sorrow, I'm going to have to say it's Kanda. Partly because of the last chapter, because being a lab-rat for the Black Order since childhood doesn't seem pretty. God, I hate that Leverrier.

It's hard for me to say ...I mean Kanda's past seems pretty bad. But Allen's past/present/future seems worse to me. He killed his "father",his master treated him pretty badly (although I dont think Cross meant any of it in a bad way),he lives for the people as well as the akuma(and we all know how other people feel about akuma,obviously making things a little harder for Allen),turns out he has the memories of a noah that will most likely make him a noah himself,thus the order's enemy(not to mention Cross said he'd kill someone he loves when he becomes the 14th),and now he even doubts if Mana his "father" really cared about him.....or the 14th,which would mean (if you dont count Cross or his comrades) he was never loved. I'd say Allen has the saddest LIFE out of all of the characters.....

As it stands now: Allen. First, he was abandoned by his parents. He was adopted, but his foster father soon met his death and then he was turned into an Akuma. Then Allen had to kill him, (at the same time probably freaked out by his arm). Then while under the care of Cross, his first "Akuma battle" was with his best friend at the time. And not only that, Allen loses Cross later on, as I'm sure most of you are aware. And to top it all off--he's not sure if Mana's love was really toward him since he contained the 14th and the 14th was Mana's brother.

Seriously--the kid needs a break (and a hug).

Its quite hard to chose. Everyone had their share of a hard childhood and life. I would chose Allen or Kanda. Both had such harsh lifes and sorrow past that I can't chose >^< But for right now I would chose Kanda since his best friend and him are "so-called" monsters T^T Everyone really needs a break

Lenalee got her portion as well and it's really traumatic.

We don't really know about Lavi's. But somehow I know that he got a lonely past.

Kanda's past....... hu...... don't know what to say....... just too sad....

Allen's past...... Harsh? yes. Sad? yes. Traumatic? yes. Lonely? yes. He really got tragic past and present life. More than that, tragic fate.

For now, somehow.... I want Road to invade Allen's heart and expose his true self....
He's good at placing a poker face.... He wouldn't let unneeded feelings come out. And he's kinda stubborn himself. He always act cheerful and optimistic. But from his flashback, we know that previously, his attitude was no different than the present Kanda....

It's really makes my chest in pain when read the chapter where Cross tell everything he know about 14th to Allen... Allen looks sad when he let his fear out... About who's the one that Mana really loves.....

So I'll say... it's Allen's........

I belive they both have had extremely hard lives, and there are more hardships to overcome in the future, but i can't really decide which one has had the 'saddest' past.
Imagine being in Allen's shoes, having lost pretty much everything, finally making some friends, and then them being hurt and killed infront of your eyes and blaming yourself for it.
And then imagine being in Kanda's shoes, being tested on in a lab for most of your life, not being able ot see anyone or anything other than the people testing on you, being alone and having nothing, then finaly having a friend and then being taken away from them and sent to kill these monster-type things you had no idea existed.
Both have slightly similar pasts, having nothing, then having someone they cared about, and then being taken away from them. We still haven't got the full picture on either of their pasts though, so it's still hard to tell everything about them, and relate to them fully.
