ok at the end of one of the chapters ryoma n the other dude went to go play n later on they are climbing the cliff. Why did they have to climb the cliff??

b/c they dont want to just go home after losing. they regret losing so this is like their last chance....to prove that their good enough to be in the camp...?

well yes i know that they don't want to go but when they arrived ryoma n the other dude were already there facing them with the tennis coach though

well, what happened was that they didn't go to their match and they got disqualified, i think. and then they were going back home, when the dude told them let's see if they can climb the cliff. so, they're climbing the cliff to see if they have another cahnce, or they're climbing to see whatever's up there...

i think that when they played the older guys that they lost, because they said that it was interesting and they were probably picked up on one if the many cameras around, then the coach guy took them to where the bus was with everyone else that lost

Why do people keep mentioning the highschoolers. I (hope)/think it is obvious they lost to them.

But the highschoolers weren't the assigned opponents. They ditched their matches, so it can only be assumed they got DQ'd. Why would they be punished for losing to the highschoolers, aside from breaking the rules.

Haha, who knows why there's a court on the cliff. ;; I admire the characters' determination and courage to climb up that thing (and when they helped each other. Aww, teamwork!), but...I seriously thought it was kind of ridiculous. D8 What would the coaches do if someone fell off the cliff and died? |D;; They would...probably get sued or something.

As for the original question as to why the pair of first years had to climb the cliff too, I came to the same conclusion as The_Tenken. They were originally paired up again one another (so middle school student vs middle school student), but both of them ditched that match and played again the high school students instead (a game that they likely lost). They were probably automatically disqualified for not showing up to the match they were assigned to, so they had to climb the cliff with the others.
