This is a sequel right? So, if it is, is this the continuation of The Prince of Tennis?

Because in the ending of the previous manga, Kaidou already became captain. While here in Shin, Tezuka is still the captain...

Sorry for not understanding too much of it.

I think that the sequel takes place before the start of the new school year, so they're all still middle-schoolers at this point.

at first i'm confuse too... but as you can see this is really a different story from the first one, it's just so happen that this story might had happened after the championship and the sempai's are just preparing for their graduation....

but , let's be happy because there is more "prince of tennis"

i wish this turn into an anime!!!!!! (prayers please be answered)

I think this is like the summer or something cause if u read the summary on the main page it says this is the continuation of it.

If you guys didnt know, Prince of Tennis was apparently only the PROLOGUE of the REAL legend which begins in SHIN TENNIS NO OUJISAMA. And this new series begins in the new school year where Tezuka and all the other oldies have already graduated. So now its Kaidou whose the new captain.

Yeah, they're definitely still middle-schoolers. But their summer break already passed - I'm pretty sure that they had a training camp during it in The Prince of Tennis. But you have to remember that the Japanese school year starts in the spring (May, I think, but I'm probably wrong).

The plot seems to revolve around how the high-schoolers have a tennis camp, which the middle-schoolers have been invited to, and now the high-schoolers are annoyed, to say the least. If you look at the chapter names, one's called 'The Strength of the Middle Schoolers' and the next is called 'The True Strength of the High Schoolers', so the teams we all know and love are still in middle school.

Hope that didn't confuse you even more!

EDIT: I was re-reading Shin Tennis no Oujisama and on this page it introduces the Seigaku regulars, and says that Inui, Kawamura and Oishi are still in 3rd year of middle school.

well i think it is the continuation and everyone already moved on, but all the team members got an invitation and when they got there, they fell back into their old status of captain and other members because they are used to it and such.....

So, why did the mangaka show in the ending that the students called "Kaidou-Buchou"? While in the continuation, they call Tezuka the captain...
