it has been hinted for some time that itagaki might challenge ippo in the future. do u think that will happen?

Possibly but itagaki is kinda scared of ippo. Like Imai his rival said to itagaki, you don't want to fight ippo? Why don't you switch gyms and be able to fight him? Itagaki looks up to him tooooo much. But he even agrees that to show how much you've grown, a fight with ippo is a must.

I don't think it'll happen as anything beyond a Spar with no head gear. Even then he'll get torn apart, and he knows it. Ippo specializes in defeating fast opponents. Hell with Saki or whatever one punch put the fear of god into the core of his body, so Itagaki even with his speed doesn't have anything that could stop Ippo. He'd run for a couple rounds pepper him with some weak blows and get caught and the fight is over. I also doubt it'll happen because he'd have to leave the Gym so he'd have to go to another gym, that would not likely have the same level of boxers for inspiration or trainers.

it it would happen, it would be speed or insight against power. Itagaki might have the advantage but once Ippo was able to land one shot it would obviously an KO for Itakagi. So the only way that Itagaki would win if he let the points decide the match.

ippo would win because he would scare itagaki. I mean, if your punch can scare a black guy thats been shot twice as a kid, then you can scare a little japanese kid whose worse beating was probably in a spar with Randy Boy Jr.

if your refering to the magic guy he was actually thai...umm i think if it happend in the future it would be a decent fight, kinda like a fight between kamogawa and nekota in their young days but of course the only thing itagaki could do is delay the inevitable which is a KO
