so i finished reading sakura's decision yesterday. It really made me mad when she started lying to him more and more. At first i was like sakura likes naruto. this is great but then i noticed that yamamoto was really . So i obviously became mad at her, but what about you guys.

i really like sakura in naruto shipuudden but this is just...and naruto knows she loves sasuke...and lying is just well getting on my nerves..!

If she had simply been lying to him, that would indeed be wrong, Naruto never said she was lying to him exactly, but to herself... Sakura and Sasuke (heck anybody and Sasuke) has been the most superficial one-sided attraction in the series. Whatever the case, she at least has good reasons for liking Naruto unlike with Sasuke. Is she lying? Maybe exaggerating, but she's certainly matured/ taken a step forward than the complete lie that liking Sasuke was. Naruto is such a naive idealist as Itachi pointed out when they last met, and may be calling her a liar for these reasons. If she didn't love him, she wouldn't have gave up on Sasuke for him or confessed to him like that... It takes a lot to do that. Though, Naruto could also be extremely shocked and unable to believe in a dream he had turned over in his mind many times but long since given up on suddenly coming true... this second option is less likely. Really it depends on Kishimoto's view and who he agrees with... usually it's been Naruto unfortunately. Though, Sakura's matured now, and hopefully set this up so that Naruto could mature, not so he could wave around his idealistic delusions. Really, Naruto thinks that every decision needs to be made based on feelings, so that when someone actually uses logic he spazzes out. He should realize that people make decisions based on different things, and that this does not invalidate their decision.

Well to tell you the truth. I have no idea whether it was a lie or not. Everyone saying that sakura is lying but there is no proof. maybe kishi made super obvious to get you guys thinking that she's lying. and to be honest when they others told sakura to they wanted to get of sasuke, sure she may have denied ad first but during that talk that she might have had a change of heart. Those who's saying she's obviously lying should provide some kind of explanation for why you're saying that. She could be telling the truth the whole time but kishi probably made it seem like a lie to fool you. And then to see naruto's reaction saying that she's lying to herself is bad enough. Naruto is probably thinking she was lying because of he feelings toward him in the past. But then there's another side to this is that maybe she was lying. if she is how would that go. naruto still would go looking for him even if sakura told him not too because remember naruto is not only chasing sasuke for sakura but for himself too. somewhere when sai joined the teamed, naruto said he had a bond with sasuke, because he's the first on to acknowledge him as being a ninja. And if sakura was lying how would the next few chapters go. I'm not on either sides but to be honest it could go either way. Only time will tell.

the moment she said that i know she was just kidding! Good job that naruto knew what it's all about..
she just said that to make naruto stay and leave sasuke alone so no one will get hurt... she is so srtong but really useless

Well...I don't think Sakura was absolutally lying about she having some feelings toward Naruto, and let me point out here that those feeling don't necesarily have to be feelings of love. In the dictionary "Love: a profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person." but even that definition can be modified. Sakura mayb Love Naruto but maybe not in the way that he loves her. I mean we all know that Naruto made such promise to Sakura becasue she has always have a one-sided feelings with Sasuke. Naruto learnred how to love Sakura, he gave up his happiness in order to make Sakura happy and that's what love is. Is exactly the same as Hinata did. I know Naruto feels this brotherly bond toward Sasuke, but he still in the very end did it because Sakura asked him too. Now the reason as to why (I believe) Sakura is saying all these things to Naruto, (that she loves him and to give up and his promise) is because she thinks that Naruto, knowing that Sakura doesn't have feelings for Sasuke anymore, will give up on his search to bring him back. She knows that if someone, (more likely the Raikage) kills Sasuke, Naruto will want revenge, and if Naruto kills the Raikage lets say his family will want revenge and it will become Pain's revenge all over again. He promised his father that he'll fight to the curse of the ninja world, that is revenge. What Sakura is doing here is certainly wrong, playing aroun with Naruto's feelings to which he asked her to stop, but she has a good reason for it. She doesn't want her friend to die and then all Konoha, will want revenge agaisn't whom ever killed him.

The point is: Sakura, is mean playing around with Naruto's feelings or with her feelings like he said, but she has a good reason for it, which is stop the chain or hatred that might get unleashed if someone kills Naruto or Sasuke for that matter.

now that i read what you said, i do agree, she has really matured and this will play out how it does.

lets just all hope that this "lie" will make things better than making the scenario worse than before. and lets all believe that sakura is doing things for a reason and not just because she's a stupid flirt trying to seduce naruto.

This chapter just made so mad, Sakura is one of my least favorite characters, but I always liked her because she always stayed true to her love for Sasuke. But now not only is she lying to Naruto, but she's lying to herself, she's finally given up hope and that's not the Sakura that we have always known.I hate that she is not being true to herself or her feelings anymore. And while she may love Naruto , its not the same way she loves Sasuke. Naruto is more a brother to her than anything esle.

But what I hate the most is how the continue to underestimate Naruto, They should have just told him flat out the situation, Naruto is not the immature boy he used to be, playing on his emotions is a cruel think to do. Sakura may have had a good reason for going about it that way, but I don't think it was the choice.
