I don't know. I think its just similar artowork lies of the same author. Plus this guy seems to have balls, something that Zen is desperately lacking since his birth. I think even Shinji Ikari could wipe floor with Zen-crap right now.

He looks like a rejected design for a Bleach villain. I hope this manga gets a mercy killing soon. It had a chance to prove itself, and it went from a quirky school comedy to lame shonen fight manga. I want to read about Medaka being strange and too perfect for her own good, not arrogant Jump villain/anti-hero #436252.

That's so true about Zenkichi. From what someone who could read the RAWs said:

Zen is willing to stick with Medaka for now, even though his heart isn't completely in it and despite him trying to protect her, she shows no affection or gratitude towards him. She treats him just like anyone else and it really makes us wonder just what Zen is to her, because she doesn't really seem to care for him. I know we've been saying this for a while, but this time it seems to hit home even harder. True, part of the story is the fact that Medaka doesn't really know what friendship and love are, but Zen just taking it like this is ridiculous. He needs to man up and get away from her, or he'll go down in history as the biggest protagonist loser in manga history, and that's not a good thing. I really miss the Medaka from the one shot, who actually seemed to show affection towards him as something more than an acquaintance.

Ah, how I wish he really was an evil Zen. That wouldve made the story a hella more interesting.

Who knows. They might even turn out to be somehow related. Though I highly doubt that.

For some reason I really want Shiranai to smack sense into Zenkichi about Medaka, he's been to much of a pussy about it and know Medaka is probably going to develop intrest with the guy in the 13 group. I really want Zenkichi to do something but I doubt he will. Yeah the two do look similar but it's probably just the art style.
