At the end of chapter 26 we see the introduction of Medaka's brother. Who is a pretty boy with long hair who looks more chick than dude.

Because reverse harems are good in a guy's manga?

Well, you have to admit that it is original. No one did this before (at least not in such craptitude) and probably no one will in the nearest future seeing how Medaka is one of the most unpopular manga's in SWJ.

It seems like an experiment just for lulz. That, or the disgusting side product of alcohol, drugs and sleepless nights.

lol wut? There are countless pretty boys in this manga. Medaka's brother is hardly anything new in that category. I don't see how this makes it anymore of a shoujo manga then it may have looked before. Are Reborn and DGM shoujo manga because of guys who can pass as girls too?

your statements contradict each other. Your first one agrees saying that it has been a shoujo manga before the arrival of Medaka's brother.

Your second claims that just because there are pretty boys doesn't mean its shoujo.

Anyways Reborn has a male lead, and focus's the story around him.

DGM I just don't recall off the top of my head what it represents.

No, I was making a point. I'm saying to call it a shoujo manga now is ridiculous since it always had pretty boys in it. Either you believe it always was one or just suddenly became one because another pretty boy happened to be introduced. The latter being ridiculous.

That is my point. Pretty boys=/=shoujo. There are other shounen manga with pretty boys but they are still shounen.

There are shoujo that have male leads just like there are shounen that have had female leads. Who is the lead and focus doesn't automatically make something shoujo or shounen. Your entire argument seems to be based around the pretty boy thing.

DGM has a strong female following with pretty boys in it just like Reborn does. Yet they both are still shounen.

You are right that Pretty boys=/=shoujo. Yet reversed harem is much more shoujo-like don't you think? And by all means thats what we are witnessing in Medaka box.

There are other shounen manga with pretty boys but they are still shounen, yet none of them realy have a reversed harem with the girl as main lead.

I don't think the mangaka really cares anymore. For weeks now, Medaka Box has been at the bottom of the SWJ rankings. It's obvious what is wrong with the manga but the mangaka doesn't even try to change the manga to resolve it. Medaka Box is in a Magazine for guys, yet Medaka Box is a Reverse Harem/Shoujo/Fighting manga. Such a manga would never be popular, he should have just made a School Life/Ecchi/Romance manga and raked in the money like so many other mangakas.
